Any predictions on this game between two 16th Region rivals? I'm going with Boyd by 2 points in this early season battle.

Ashland deeper & more talanted IMO but Boyd always give them a run for their money. Ashland 59-46

Kind of surprised by the Ashland margin of victory that some posters are predicting. Playing at Ashland will be a disadvantage for Boyd, but I think that Boyd's more physical play (Especially offensive) will give Ashland fits and also get Ashland in foul trouble. Either way, it should be one heck of a game.

I'm going with Ashland by 15. Ashland has a descent bench if they get into foul trouble, Boyd doesn't have much of a bench. Ashlands first 5 is playing well together right now. If Ashland presses the entire game I think Boyd will be extremely tired by half, they just don't have the bench to sub. Boyd neads to contain Robinson and Gambill.

Ashland wins first battle. Robinson was on fire tonight. Gambill didn't play much due to foul trouble. Both teams were in foul trouble. They r taking the fun out of basketball , won't let the girls play ball. Coaches need to tell players to drive to basket everytime because r wonderful 16th region officials will call a foul no matter what

Wow, I was proved wrong on this one. The win doesn't necessarily surprise me, but the margin of victory does. I guess Ashland is still the team to beat in the 16th.
