Middle Schools/ KHSAA
#1
What is the timeline for Middle Schools across the Bluegrass, falling under the guidelines of the KHSAA

A note of concern by the Commish is the out of control middle school basketball; and I quote: " No one in this room can justify and explain to me why any middle school is playing 45 forty-five games a season".

On a National scene; fact: Kentucky's regular seasons in ALL sports are longer or plays more games than almost every state in the USA.

Not taking sides just stating facts.

These are kids.
Theres nothing wrong with them playing a 100 games if they want.
Practice is harder then games, and is usually wher einjuries occur, but the season is not longer, there just playing more games.

These are student/athletes. I see them playing M-F and then tournaments on the weekend. There should be a limit set. Basketball isnt going to put food on the table for these kids, education is!

I agree education is top priority, but it is the schools responsibility to teach, and the parents responsibility to make sure education comes first. As long as they do that, let them play.

My Priorities are:
1)God
2)Family
3)Cougar Athletics!

Everything else doesn't matter![/COLOR]
