They usually have teams out of state to come in and participate but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen this year. lexingtoncatholic.com (school website) carries all the info. You have to hover the mouse icon over the students section at the top and a list will come up with athletics and so on, click on athletics, another list will come up, click on boys basketball and you'll see this tourney listed on the right. Last time I checked it (last week) they didn't have it up

This tournament always has play-in games to get to a bracket of 16, usually starting with a field of 19. Losers go to the old gym and play a consolation bracket. Double-losers get rematched for a 3rd and, if desired, 4th game.

Last year had 3 or 4 out-of-state teams, which is typical. Online skeds for these visiting schools show Fayette County, Georgia coming back for 3rd consecutive year, and Roger Bacon from Cincinnati.

Will try to get a complete bracket and post it soon, the school website is usually not updated timely.

Your Paintsville team opens vs. Dixie Heights 4:30 Wed as sked stands now.

I have an Excel file of all brackets for 43 games including consolation brackets but don't know how to post it here. Will email to anyone supplying an email address via PM.

Basically, Wed 12/26 thru Sun 12/30 first game starts noon (Fri 11:30). Last games start 9pm Wed-Thur, 8pm Fri-Sat, and 7:30 championship on Sunday. Both gyms Th-Fr-Sat, main gym only Wed + Sun, with possible optional games in old gym early Sunday afternoon.

Complete list of 21 teams for this tournament as of 11-7-12 appears below. If I learn of any additions, will post.

Should be a great tourney just like last year. Anybody know where Somerset Prep is from? Last year there was a team from New Hampshire that came down. Hope this team is more competitive.

Pretty sure that school is from Florida. If that is indeed who that school is well they only won 4 games last year and finished 513 in Florida......
