Wish it had come against a higher quality opponent but that is the nature of the beast in 1a district play. Anyway 800 wins is a great accomplishment and ranks top 10 nationally and is only eclipsed in the state by Highlands and Male.

64mam be careful what you are wishing for. If you get there, I'm sure you may get what you are asking for, but it is going to be very lopsided with us on the w side. I really think you are writing a check with most of the state that someone's sons over there cant cash. By the way have you gone on the Trinity sites yet to serve them. I think you got about as much of a chance of your team winning state in 1a as you do of beating them.

If memory serves me correct Male has been playing since 1896. We (Somerset) have been playing since 1907 and I think there are only a handful of active programs that have been going longer than us, Male and Manual being two of them I think. Not sure about Mayfield though, shouldn't be too hard to find I wouldn't think.

Somebody will have to correct me on this as I am estimating and dont have the actual Dates but think we are at a little over a 100 years. I do know we have had only 13 losing seasons in that time frame 90percent of that was pre 1960. I do know that a couple of our losing seasons were like 0 n 1 and like 1 n 2 real early on.

How many of those wins did our now severely damaged score board see. Thank god The goal post and the stadium bleachers themselves were not damaged. Hopefully we can get the scoreboard fixed up and operable before 2 weeks from last friday.

KHSAA website lists Mayfield as playing football since 1919 and Male since 1893. They only have a list of the top 18 schools. Here is the list through last season:
