Raceland @ Fairview 10/12
#1
In effort to keep the "Fairview New Additions" thread under 1,400 pages haha... let's talk football here. Regardless of circumstance, Raceland will play a full Fairview team friday night, and i'm not sure the Rams would have it any other way. Intelligent Predictions below :please: GO!

Think Raceland wins this. Just a hunch based on Fairview feasting on a really weak schedule. Overconfidence maybe? Dont know much about Raceland just know they were decent but young last year. They did destroy a pikeville team who smoked them last year. Either way good game.

Rams schedule pays off here.

That's right at about the line i'm taking. The Ram's D has seemed pretty stout this year, and I think Raceland has too many options offensively and schematically. They haven't seen a running game like Fairview yet, but they have toughed it out against decent offenses.

Raceland over the Calipari squad.

fairview is better just about everywhere except the two most important areas Qb and along the LOS I think that's where the rams will win this game.

Ok I've bashed fairviews 2012 recruiting class enough.. Now time to settle this one on the field. Close game but Raceland pulls away in the 4th. Rams by 2 TDs.

I agree with all of this. I think the Ams control the LOS and that wins the game.

I agree that King, Turner, and Rutherford are very talented players but I think some of you may be underestimating the Rams skill positions. Messer and Beach are unbelievable playmakers, can take it to the house on any given play..In my opinion they are the best players at their respective positions in the area. Also Messer being 6"3 with state champion like potential in the high jump, makes him an incredibly tough match up for any defensive back, especially when trying to play man coverage, which is what Fairview attempts to do. Rams also have several other skill guys that get overlooked.. Vance, Valencourt, and Literal are all impressive athletes. And don't forget, the leader of the Raceland offense, Adam Elkins is now 19 starts deep into his varsity career, he is an experienced decision maker and has done an outstanding job this season. No other QB in the area and maybe in class A state wide is putting up the combination of rushing/passing yards and TDs that he is. So make no mistake about it, Raceland is loaded with skill and incredibly diverse on offense.

Fairview is better at the skill positions no matter how you spin it.

I'll be honest, both teams are very good. I will take Raceland over Fairview by a touchdown.

Battle of the Titans. I won't predict over than to say it should be electric on Friday night.

Raceland has some good skill guys. I'd argue quinton baker is a better back than beach but he is very explosive none the less. But fairview has the best collection of skill guys they have ever had and that includes the Chris Jennings years.

That's a pretty strong statement... Chris Jennings, Stephen Crisp, Bradley Jones, and crew were a pretty serious backfield. Then again, my memory is vague from the post-concussion syndrome per them three. But all jokes aside, I'm looking forward to seeing this group, and our D-line shutting them down.

Having watch Raceland play in couple of games. Here is what I have seen the kicking game is not that great will they give the Eagles a short field all night, if so could be trouble depends on the LOS who controls it. Second is the extra points will the Rams kicker hold up to the pressure has missed a few this year. Third can the Rams corners and defensive ends keep the Eagles from running outside if not could be a long night for them. I think who ever plays better on special teams will win this game.

I don't know who to take in this one but i think it will be a very exciting game to see. Been a lot of talk about Williamsburg this year and they are very good but I think either of the teams in this game are capable of beating Williamssburg on any given day. Also let us not forget about Hazard because they are a very good team and have had a tough schedule up to this point. Hazard gave Somerset all they want and I think Somerset is as good as it gets in 2a this year.

I'll take Beach over Baker right now.. Beach runs harder, never goes down on the first hit. I expect after this coming friday many of you will share my opinion, Daylin Beach is the top running back in the area. If you have only watched him play in the Ashland game then I could see why you may dispute this because he did have some trouble with ball security. But keep in mind that was only his second game as a running back (played WR the past two seasons) and he still busted some very impressive runs on the Tomcats. Since then he has took off, scoring 18 TD's in 7 games this year and averaging something like 11.4 yards a touch.

This is going to be our first game ever to watch at Fairview, is their field at the high school? Thanks.

No go down Blackburn ave and across the railroad tracks towards Westwood. The field sets on the right right after you cross the tracks can't miss it.

Beach is very good. I just think baker has put up very similar numbers against better competition can't go wrong with ether though

Are you serious? Go to KHSAA and look up the stats Fairview dominates Raceland in all but 2 categories. Talk about weapons, our backfield has more talent than Racelands whole team. Gonna have another season of 3, 1,000 yard rushers.

If Fairview does have 3 kids with that many yards apiece then congrads to whoever does but playing stiffer competition they wouldnt be that many kids get over a 1000 yards...

I said fairview has better backs. Raceland had a better Qb who can run an throw and I feel a better offensive and defensive line. The numbers back that up.
