Running backs ruled the night in Taylor County on Friday night, as the Cardinals and visiting Lexington Catholic combined for more than 600 yards on the ground.

The Knights used seven different rushers to gain 330 yards and topple Taylor County 56-14 to improve to 7-1 on the season. Topping the list was junior running back Malik Guidry, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on just three carries, including a 65-yard jaunt.

Senior running back Daulton Turpin put on a show for the home crowd in the loss, gashing the Knights for 230 yards and a pair of long touchdowns. Turpin also hauled in the only reception for the Cardinals (4-3), who were outgained through the air 182 yards to 17
