Newport cruised to its third win of the season behind a 27-point first quarter that proved to be too much for visiting Bishop Brossart. Newport senior quarterback and defensive back JaShawn Short was 7-of-10 for 188 yards and three touchdowns. Short also had a 41-yard interception return for a touchdown. Newport senior running back Daylin Garland had seven carries for 52 yards and four touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving, one interception return).

Brossart was led by freshman running back Logan Schoulthies who had 29 carries for 126 yards.
