Knox Central is definitely a top 5 mountain team.

However, i believe Russell will win that district with ease. Knox could very well put up a fight, but i think Russell will be way to much, even maybe for Boyle or Lex Cath.

I don't think there will be anything easy about the game on 10/19. These two teams have a lot to settle after last season when the clock just happened to run out while the Lakers had the lead. This is setting up to be a war on the field by what looks to be two teams who may have their best teams ever.

knox lost going for 2 against j c last year,they also lost a close one at russell.we beat a good j c team this year and we have the lakers at home.as far as winning the district with "ease",we will see.i like our chances.

The Panthers looked great last night. JC has a powerful run game and a QB who can whip a pass out anytime he needs it. We found a way to contain that offense.

And last night I decided the Jeffery Canady is the best overall football player I have ever seen in high school football. Stats fail to tell the real story. He does more than any player I have ever seen. Punt, run, pass, tackle, and when needed he can fill the water bottles. And he is as fine a young man as he is a football player.

The Panthers have made some people open their eyes this year, the D is the best they have ever had. and the O is just starting to click, as long as they stay healthy they will be a team to watch out for. cant wait untill september 21 when Harlen County comes to town this game should be every bit as good as JC was, Jeffery Canady is by far the best player in the mountains an maybe the best in the state.:Cheerlead

I love how some people are already writing off Johnson Central and Knox Central's playoff chances. Highlands and Covington Catholic have both had a difficult time stopping good running attacks in recent years, and both Johnson Central and Knox Central have shown strong running games already this season. If Johnson Central beats Ashland, they will probably have home field advantage against either Covington Catholic or Highlands.

I did not get to watch the entire game last night, but Canady made the Golden Eagle defense look slow in comparison. They need to, and will improve their defense, but Canady is going to make a lot of defenses look bad this season.

Canady is a very good all around football player. Just as impressive when he does not have the ball.

Great ballgame. Canady played the best total game I have seen since I have been watching him. He was not going to lose. This is probably one of the best D's but not the best 2008 and 2010 where pretty tough. They really missed the two linemen that are still out. To win the district they MUST at least get one of the two before district play. After whatching Clay beat Perry as they did, I thought that KC would beat JC with a little more ease. A couple of fumbles really hurt JC. Clay may be more of a threat that others think. Also, I want to praise Matthew Barger. He had a heck of a game. I don't remember a time that he wasen't on the field. I am sure glad he decided to play.

Congrats to Knox Central. Watched the replay on WYMT and finally got to witness Jeff Canady in action. He did not fail to impress me. Unbelievable overall talent as a football player.
