Grant county should win. both teams coming off a loss but i think the way grant looked against rockcastle was a huge improvent and if they can get a few things fixed in practice this week i believe they should get their first win on their home field. Grant-27 owen-17

lol you r a very funny person rockcastle shot them self in the foot with flag a 150 yards worth and still beat grant by two touchdown.owen has more speed better qb better rb better line then grant. owen beat grant 35-17

Grant also had a lot of penalties and a couple turnovers so that means nothing. You can say what you want but I will say one thing. Grant's QB will work just as hard if not harder to help his team earn a victory. These kids have had to endure a lot. They have had three coaches in four years. They have heart and keep coming back.

I will not waste my time swapping insults. I do not believe that is what this forum is about. I support each and every one of those KIDS! I know how hard they work. They are like any other team, they want to win and be successful. They do not get the credit they deserve. The coaches and team leaders will do everything they can to be ready for this weekend. Good luck to BOTH teams.

How about we get this discussion back on topic and start talking about the FOOTBALL game that is to be played on Saturday rather than anything else. That being said, Saturday will be an intense battle between two teams both needing a win to get their seasons on course. Owen had a disappointing loss to Lloyd in their opener and Grant likewise to Rockcastle Co. in theirs. With this being a rival game it should definitely be a good one. I am excited to see both teams play and can't wait for Saturday night.

You say Owen returned everyone? How bout their star player sawyer? Grant only lost 5 seniors, none of which are a skill position.

IMO if owen shows up in dry ridge to play grant like they did against Lloyd, it could be a long night. I think they have a lot to work on in practice this week. Please don't take this as bashing in anyway because that's not what I'm doing here but I thought they were a little to predictable. Just by looking at the receivers preplay I had a pretty good idea where the ball was going. If it wasn't coming their way, the receivers had a stand straight up stance as opposed to the receivers on the other side who had get ready to roll stance. Also, it seemed as if whenever #2, sorry I'm not familiar with the names, was in at qb they were strictly running the ball. I don't recall him ever passing, correct me if I'm wrong though. #7 seemed to be the one who always threw. I think he's a great athlete but I don't believe that he's a qb. His arm didn't really impress me. He looked like he was just slinging it. But on defense I think they looked pretty sound. Just a few mentall mistakes like jumping off sides a few times by a freshman but hey, it was his first varsity game. Lots of butterflies. I think grant will also have some work to do this week also before Saturday. Receivers splits were way to close. I think they need to figure out who will be playing their tailback because I seen two boys going in and out against rockcastle and neither looked like that's where they usually play. I heard that's due to losing their 4 year starter to an mcl injury that's put him out for quite a bit. All in all though I think this could be a very good game to watch. I'm excited to see what happens!

First off, let me tell you that these kids had nothing to do with the poor judgement of the players that pulled that stunt. I would never support my child for doing somehting like that. We are taking the focus off of the kids. This is their time. Let them play. The actions on the FIELD will decide the outcome.

There is no happy dragon buffert in Dry Ridge. There is a Happy Dragon Buffet though. You should know the hours cause that is where all the Owen County folks go for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Of course it is after they go to Walmart and use their red, white and blue credit card they get from Frankfort.:moon:
