HoneyBadger dismissed by LSU
#1
BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU has dismissed Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu from its football program for violating school and team rules.

A source told ESPN's Joe Schad on Friday that Mathieu has been looking for a new school to play for this season.

Last season Mathieu was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy and won the Chuck Bednarik Award as the nation's best defensive player.

The junior defensive back nicknamed Honey Badger was the surprising Heisman Trophy candidate last season as the Tigers won the Southeastern Conference championship and reached the BCS title game. LSU lost the championship 21-0 to Alabama.

At a news conference Friday, coach Les Miles would not specify the reason Mathieu was kicked off the team.

LSU enters this season ranked No. 1 in the coaches' poll. The AP college football poll will be released Aug. 18. The Tigers opened preseason camp last week.

What is wrong with these young men?

^ I don't see why Kentucky doesn't reach out to players like this.

It seems like there are all of these players with issues that have just lost a big opportunity would love to do something other than go to Divison II. If they just had someone to set them straight they could be a nice addition to any Div I team

If they dont atleast think about it there even more stupid than i thought.
I would snatch him up in a heartbeat, but seriously i wonder what this kid could have possibly done to get kicked off the team.

I'd say he'll bust a FCS school wide open because he won't have to sit a year out.

Saw on ESPN earlier that he failed a drug test.

He has failed multiple tests

He'll probably be another North Alabama superstar.

It's sad to see someone with the talent and potential abuse drugs. It's something, I'll never understand.

The big question is how will this affect the SEC race?
