Golf, and hunting. He didnt really want this job but it is in the better interests of the program.

I'd say Ole Bill Mike's hire as basketball coach was a move to keep an "unwanted" person from getting the job.

Those clever tigers did the same thing a few years ago when Bill Mike was given the head football coaching job while he was the head basketball coach as well. And that move kept somebody from getting the head football job.

i know for a fact someone else was offered the job and didnt take because his son is playing so you have no clue what your talking about

There was no one else this late in the year to hire Adkins, and trimble turned the job down Bill Mike took it because the program needed him too. He was 100% focused on football this year but there was no other good choice.
