Colby Burchett throws a very gutsy 7 innings after being roughed up in the 2nd, and allows only 2 hits from the 3rd Inning on (according to the radio at least). Sounded like the Tigers got a great effort by the defense from that point forward and the Paintsville bats stayed hot throughout the night. Paintsville advances to their first Regional Championship since 2006. Congrats to Coach Miller and his team for the victory and also congrats to Coach Hagy and Belfry on an great season.

I've seen bad Little League games managed better than this one.

No offense meant to the Belfry fans that I friends with, but how did that sitting on your pitching plan go?
Proud of #8 tonight and this tournament.
Paintsville is really dangerous right now. When you are hot, you are hot. And in tournament time that is all that matters, not regular season record.
Should be a wild one tomorrow night at Davis Park.

I dont know that it really mattered. Paintsville unloaded on their #1 and their #2 tonight. In fact I was a little disapointed in Belfry's mound work. I saw Masters throw early in the season and his velocity was much better then , than it was tonight. Both he and Williams each only topped out at 81. I was expecting some real heat out of those two guys. I was also surprised at how undisciplined Belfry was. Perhaps just one of those nights, but I was expecting way more from a senior laden group.
Now PT, how do you root in one like this? Is blood thicker than water? ....lol.....BTW, #8 was exceptional tonight. Minus the one bad inning he had complete command all night long. Very nice outing.

Hope #8 has a great game.

As a whole, in general, the officiating in this tournament has been questionable. I'm not saying that as an excuse for one team or another, just as a general statement. The "homerun" by Keegan Fields in the 2nd inning cleared the fence by 10-15 feet. I don't know how an umpire could have missed that. He eventually scored and Belfry would score 6 in the inning, but nonetheless, I don't know how a call like that is missed. Paintsville has played a phenomenal tournament, and are a very dangerous team tonight against the Panthers. Belfry just couldn't muster any offense after that 6-run 2nd. Crazy game!

^Pikeville needs to place a wind screen in RF and LF. This isn't the first HR that I have seen miscalled on this field. A wind screen cures this problem.

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â

^Sounds to me that someone just doesn't want to deal with the wind screen. The blowing over of the fence can also be easily fixed.
