Lets hear your thoughts on next year.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

hey they are young, a summer of maturity will help.
very few teams will beat them next season.Smile

Sometimes you don't have to beat them..... they tend to beat themselves.
#8
OK, to make it a little togher for you guys to jump on Paintsville....ON PAPER Paintsville should be the favorite.
#9
Don't ever underestimate Belfry. They may be loosing Maynard, but they still have Case and a lot of talented young ones going to be moving up and helping.

I would hope so, they were supposed to have the best team two years in a row. I like Valley's chances too.

I really dont buy the whole "they are young and will only get mature. I think even as sophmores this year they have started and played in more varsity games than most seniors are. I do think Paintsville will be one of the best teams in the region next year. I dont think they will be the walk away favorites at the end of the season. I think there will be 4 or 5 teams that will be even. Even if some of the teams that are in the 4 and 5 will be totally unexpected.

if i had to pick a team right now with out a dout p ville
#16
You have to like Paintsville at the top, but that ship could sink at any minute. Afterwards Shelby Valley, I look for pikeville, johnson Central, and allen central to be good next year. Betsy Lanye will be good too.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

It's too early to do this.
We don't know where some players will be nor who will be coaching some.
This thread really probably should die til about August.

I think that the 15 Th is either Shelby Valleys or Paintsvilles to loose. The rest will play for 2cnd place. :notworthy
#24
This is the way I see it...

1. Paintsville- They return all their starters but I will take away the #1 spot if they cant learn to play together.

2. Johnson Central- I think they will be a good solid team next year with McCarty leading the way.

3. Shelby Valley- Very strong guard play. If John Johnson dont play, I will have to drop them a few spots due to lack of inside play. John will be their only post player that will have a impact.

4. South Floyd- Eathan Johnson will be a MAJOR impact player next year. He will have help from a couple good guards that should play alot of minutes next year. Lack of a big man under the goal will be a factor just like for Shelby Valley.

5. Pikeville- Returning at least 6 players that started off last years team. I expect Pikevilles defence still being sticky like it was this last season. I will drop them a spot or two if they cant get a consistant scorer.

The rest of the region will be a toss up...

What about SCHS:rockon:

I havent heard much about Sheldon Clark's Bball team but they'll more than Likley be in the mix !
#27
I think with Steven Goble, Damen Hensley, George Shimko, Jaryd Crum, and a few others we might actually have a decent team. Steven, Damen, and George play very well together and have the ability to take the team far. Jaryd is use to playing with the older boys but once making the transformation i think it will be a good team! GO CARDS!!
#28
The 15th will be up for grabs again next year. Some people are saying JC but they may have a long season next year with them losing 5 seniors from this years team. They will return McCarty, Meeks and Blanton who had a lot of playing time, next season will be interesting.
#29
1)J.C.
2)S.V.
3)Paintsville
4)P-Burg
5)Pikeville

The teams I have in the top two spots could go either way !!!!
#30
I think JC will have a tough team next year! McCarty will be an excellent team leader! I also think that after getting to go to Rupp this season, there will be a lot more talent come out at JC next season.
