Hard to believe no one from Harlan County is mentioned in this list? I dont believe there is 50 players in Kentucky better than (Tyler Boggs) of HC, much less 100?? Tyler does so many things for the black bears and does them all very well, he is a tremendous pitcher, catcher, 3rd baseman and great hitter of the baseball. Also, senior (Braxton Fields) and sophomore (Scott Bailey) have proven to be very high quality all around players that IMO should be named in this list. I am guessing the reason the HC kids havent received any statewide recognition is because they have not had a lot of exposure against the stronger teams in the state.
#3
This list is way off they 5th best player is on this list but not the 2nd 3rd or 4th
#4
This list was made a bit early theres still 3 weeks left
#5
The top 10 players are all committed to D1 Schools, UK, UofL, Coastal Carolina, I'm sure most the others are also.
Blackbear, where is the Boggs kid playing baseball next year?
Maybe thats why he is not on the list.
Oldskool, who are the 2nd, 3rd, 4th players that they missed?
#6
This list left off quite a few players that will be playing D1 and has alot that won't
#7
The Boggs kid will be playing at HC next year since he is a junior, Fields signed with Georgetown and the Bailey kid is a soph. All good players just have to keep on winning and they will get noticed more. Being in southeastern Ky does not help them being recognized but keep winning and they will.
#8
WOW I see the point I just read over the list and see some that their is no way on earth should be on there and I mentioned winning and I know 3 of these teams have not even won 6 games and on the list that is amazing and if the Carson kid is not in the top 25 in the state I sure would like to see the others ranked ahead of him this kid is the best CF I have seen and that was a few years ago.
#9
Omission of the entire HC team over some of those on the list made me wonder if someone at the school failed to submit names (if that was required). Everyone on the list are quality players, no doubt, but there are some local mountain names that can be directly compared from head-to-head competition and would be below Boggs and Fields.
#10
Oh I see some kids that is on the list I recognize and they can play and are deserving to be on there but then there is a few that I just dont understand and a few teams having 3 or 4 names on there that is not very good just dont understan.
#11
^ This is all based on team submissions. If a team did not submit a player, then they don't make the list. Then it goes by what these teams write in their submission. When you put statistics that are off the chart, it will garner you votes. The fact that the stats are not accurate is irrelevant. We did not submit a player (just didn't get it in in time). Thus, we did not get our players that they deserved yet three players from our rival, which we beat and shut down, get listed. This is not a real evaluation, so people should not get overly excited or depressed.

The top 50 doesn't look to bad to me but the others in consideration is ridiculous. No play from Deming or Bracken County should be on that list. Good to see Jordan Martin and Hunter Hill recognized on the top 50. I would think they would be a little closer to the top given there individual numbers this year.
#15
This list is crazy. Not the top kids don't deserve it. I look at this list an see that the #2 prospect in all America isn't on this list makes you kinda wonder. Coaches that lie about stats to benefit their own lose a credibility. You can build a field and they will come but looks like crap when they get there they won't come back.
#16
Dalton west at 25 is a shock thought he should be in the top 10
#17
First, I don't think there are any Jr on the list, not sure though.
Second, the list is not perfect, but it is pretty good. What team has 3 or 4 kids on it?
Lex Cath has only 3, Bryan Station 3, a few with 2.
Third, How about really good teams who already have multiple kids on list, and have good kids left off? Lex Cath has a kid committed to Georgetown left off the list, plus a kid who has started for 3 years (all three of those years the team has never been rated out of the top 5) not listed? You know coaches are not going to put 5 kids from one team on the list.
You can always argue about the list, thats what is fun with these boards.
#18
Heath Ehrsam from Somerset is a junior. 6'3 200 lb LHP. Its great to see Storm listed in the top 50. He is a great young man and will be missed next year in football and baseball.
#19
Daniel neal on the list from south laurel is a freshman.Clinton hollon from woodford co. not on the list is crazy he is the top rated junior in the nation and a legit first round draft pick next year.
