Telling numbers
■ In the first game, UK outrebounded the Cards 57-31. Louisville outrebounded UK 40-33 Saturday.
■ Kidd-Gilchrist, the star of the first matchup, had two fouls at the 13:47 mark. He sat the rest of the first half.
■ UK started 7-for-8 from the field; U of L started 4-for-14.
■ The Cards took 20 more shots than UK.
■ UK committed six offensive fouls.
■ Both teams made only one three-pointer the first half. UK made two for the game.
■ Starting UK forwards Kidd-Gilchrist and Terrence Jones combined for two points in the first 30 minutes.
■ First game was 69-62; this one 69-61.
■ UK hit 57.2 percent against the nation's third-best defense.
■ UK, an excellent foul-shooting team most of the year, made 11 of 20.
Thumbs up
■ Those freshman are talented but it was graybeard Darius Miller who stepped up when needed most for UK.
■ The nation saw why Davis is Player of the Year. Remember when all he did was dunk? He missed one shot, scored in a variety of ways, and controlled the paint.
■ Kyle Wiltjer gave UK a needed lift off the bench in the first half.
■ A gutsy performance by Rick Pitino and his Cardinals team.
■ Great atmosphere. Great game. A weekend of basketball Kentuckians will forever remember.
Thumbs down
■ UK looked in charge but let the Cards stay close.
■ Getting pushed around on the boards almost cost UK the game.
■ Free throw shooting needs to be better Monday night.

Kentucky was out-hustled tonight but it simply wasn't enough.
I have a lot of respect for Pitino because that team of his was outmatched at EVERY position but he still made a game of it. One of the best to ever walk the sidelines.
I honestly think that since they played that bad in this game and still came away with the win...
#8 will be hanging in the rafters next season.

^ I can't wait for the "Louisville sucked" posts! Because a team overmatched at every position except PG, they sure made the game interesting!

Although Teague is a little spotty....
He's still pretty crafty on D and had a lot of size over Siva.
I would take Siva right now if I had to pick between the two of them though.

Teague never guarded Siva? Siva was guarded by MKG, Lamb and Miller

UK played probably their worst game of the year except for the Vandy lost and still found a way to win.
It makes me feel better going into the championship game because theres no way we will play that bad again.
Another dousche school down.
And yes Dusty, Lville sucks.

^ Ville had no business being in that game, none!

Thus, they suck.
Siva might be the worst PG ever to start a final four game.

Sure glad the Cats were able squeak by a team so bad that should'nt have even been there. That sure would have been embarrassing!

I was just saying in respects to who was the better PG.
With Pitino's press you get a lot of variance on defense anyway.
Plus they actually play some zone.

Nice try at trying to cover your ignorance, but it is not working. Siva is too dribble happy,I will happily keep Teague who is a better all around player and a team player.

Teague played a pretty good game. He actually was much better than Siva in the first half. He did gaurd Siva quit a bit as well when Gilchrist was out.

Siva is a ball hog

Very intense, but extremely ugly game on both sides. However, it doesn't matter how ugly it is, a win is a win.

No he'snot! The entire offense runs through him! Louisville would have gotten beaten by 40 without Siva!
