Newport 12, Pendleton County 1 (five innings): Freshman pitcher Katlyn Hoeh struck out nine in an easy win for Newport.

Sophomore center fielder Gabby Bowman led Newport with three RBI going 2 for 3 at the plate.

Sophomore center fielder Gabby Bowman singled home two runs in the first inning and added and RBI single in the fourth inning to pace the Wildcats.
Seniors first baseman Brooke Baker and third baseman Miranda Combs, and eighth-grade shortstop Kylie Orr chipped in two RBI each for Newport.
