Forbes: miserable sports cities
This list was just for towns with pro sports teams. Their rankings are based on playoff failures and championship droughts. They also consider things like teams leaving for another city. This is not a list of cities that have really bad teams (most do though), but these are cities that have suffered the most heartbreak.
10. Cincinnati: Reds, Bengals, Royals
2 super bowl losses, 4 world series losses, Royals basketball left
9. Kansas City: Royals, Athletics, Chiefs, Kings, Scouts
1 world series loss, 1 super bowl loss, baseball, basketball, and hockey team left.
8. Cleveland: Indians, Browns, Browns II, Rams, Cavaliers, Barons
3 world series losses, 5 nfl championship losses, 1 nba finals loss, Rams and Browns football and Barons hockey left
7. Denver: Rockies, Broncos, Nuggets, Original Rockies (NHL), Avalanche
1 world series loss, 1 aba finals loss, 4 super bowl losses, Rockies hockey left
6. Houston: Astros, Oilers, Texans, Rockets
1 world series loss, 2 nba finals losses, 1 afl championship loss (before merger), Oilers football left
5. San Diego: Padres, Chargers, Rockets, Clippers
2 world series losses, 1 super bowl loss, both Rockets and Clippers basketball left
4. Buffalo: Bills, Sabres, Braves
4 super bowl losses (in a row), 3 stanley cup losses, Braves basketball left
3. Pheonix: Diamondbacks, Cardinals, Suns, Coyotes
1 super bowl loss, 2 nba finals losses
2. Seattle: Mariners, Seahawks, Sonics
1 super bowl loss, 1 nba finals loss, Sonics basketball left
1. Atlanta: Braves, Falcons, Hawks, Flames, Thrashers

I'm surprised Buffalo being fourth. They have to be worse than Pheonix

I thought Cleveland would been higher up.

this list was made up more by statistics, they don't take how close the score was and the emotion from the loss. if they did, cleveland and buffalo would be a lot higher

It does not take into account the titles that were won either. They point out the four World Series losses, but not the five they won??? I also think it is ridiculous that teams are considered failures for not winning a championship game instead of getting their rightful accolades for getting there. People look at the Bills as a Joke for losing four Super Bowls in a row, but the fact that they made four super bowls in a row is an accomplishment that no other team in history has equaled, and that fact is pretty darn impressive!

Of course Cincinnati would be included in this list! :HitWall:
