Congratulations are in order for former World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry. The World's Strongest Man will be inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame at the Arnold Sports Festival in March. (Take a look at Mark Henry's WWE debut)
Before coming to WWE, Henry had already made a name for himself in Strongman and Powerlifting Competitions across the world. The Texas native was a member of the 1992 and 1996 Olympic powerlifting teams, and won gold, silver and bronze at the Pan American Games in 1995. Perhaps his most well-known feat was winning the 2002 Arnold Strongman Classic.
The World's Strongest Man is joined by some high-profile names at this year's induction ceremony, to name a few; former California governor and seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Godfather of Fitness" the late Jack LaLanne, and six-time Ms. Olympia Cory Everson.

The above release by the WWE is obviously wrong when it states Henry was a member of the 1992 and 1996 US Olympic Powerlifting teams because they were no such thing. Powerlifting is not an Olympic sport. It should have stated US Olympic Weightlifting Teams.
Congrats to one of the greatest wrestling world champions of all time.

I assumed this was the WWE Hall of Fame, I was about to say that he deserves it for simply agreeing to do all the stupid, yet funny, stuff that the WWE has asked him to do over the years, lol.

Come on LWC. You and Sk need to start showing Mark Henry the respect he has earned. He was the greatest world champ since the Macho Man.

That has to be a joke. There's no way he is the greatest world champ since Macho, a lot of wrestlers would have something to say about that. Henry is a good heel but that's it, he runs away from people just like that wimp Daniel Bryan. All Henry is worried about is making out with Mae Young nicker:
