The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Williams was the punter and placekicker. Coach Bill Sharp said he was a weapon with his âbig-time leg.â
Williams punted 27 times for 38.6 yards a kick; six landed inside the 20-yard line. He had 73 kickoffs, with 96 percent going inside the 10.
The junior also put 67 percent of those kickoffs in the end zone, hit 47 extra points and was 4 of 5 on field-goal attempts.
âHe didnât win any games for us offensively,â Sharp said. âWe were pretty good offensively, but he was able to pin people inside the 20. He was a difference maker.â
Williams was a kicker as a sophomore but went to a few camps in the offseason and Sharp said âdeveloped into a good punter for us.â He didnât have any punts blocked.

He has a great leg. If the line could have blocked better for him, he would have hit a HUGE game-winner against Rockcastle County in Mt. Vernon.
He is another one of those kickers that played soccer and when high school rolled around, soccer went away.

Anyone know if he is going to play anywhere in college?

I think he's going to hit some camps this summer. Both his parents are teachers, so I'm sure academics will out way the athletics. That said, I'd be surprised if he doesn't go D1. He's not received any coaching from an experienced kicker. Hopefully the camps will help him become even better than he already is.
