(1)Alabama 21 (2)LSU 0

No doubt about it. THE BEST DEFENSE IN THE MODERN ERA holds LSU to under 100 yards of total offense, and the Alabama Crimson Tide destroy LSU 21-0. NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!

Beatdown. I just can't come up with anything else.

LSWHO, Bama is by far the best team in the nation, The SEC is the best conference in the nation and if any other team was in this tonight they would have took a worse beating then this.

Wow, an absolute clinic put on by Bama's D! Glad Bama's kicker got to show he actually can kick..lol I knew Bama would win and was cheering for them. But, I honestly didn't think they'd shut LSU out. Love it though! I do not like LSU.

And TidesHoss, I love how you changed the 1 and 2 around!

There's great defense, but then there's terrible offense. Alabama's defense showed up, but LSU was absolutely pathetic on offense. Bad play calling and bad decision making by Jefferson. It's easy to credit Bama's defense for LSU's woes on offense, but I honestly don't think LSU's offense does any better against another top 10 team. Again, I'm not knocking Bama, but LSU's offense was horrible.

I would like to wish that LB who went out with a nasty hit after he caught that INT all the best and saying a prayer for him.

Pure destruction....
That stacking the box garbage doesn't work when you roll the QB out and run play action 60% of the time.
Saban did this to Urban Meyer in the SEC Championship when he won his last title.
I just don't see how....
A.) Miles didn't change anything up on defense
B.) They continued to run that option trash after Jefferson proved that he couldn't run it.
C.) That LSU didn't go to Lee and give themselves an opportunity to take some shots after falling behind.

Bama has honestly been the best team all year.
If not for a thousand missed kicks in the first game we wouldn't be having this discussion.

One thing I will say though....
Bama couldn't finish a drive to save their life.
I know they finally broke through and scored a TD...
but until late in the 4th they absolutely dominated this game and still only had a 2 possession lead.

Miles..."Best 2 out of 3?"

21-0 blowout glad I did not watch this sleeping pill.

5 fieldgoals and 1 td by the winning team and nothing for the team that got blown out.

^ I'm really glad you didn't watch it either. Now you will be the only person who is a real football fan who has no clue what all the rest of us are talking about when we talk about the TWO greatest defenses to EVER play the college game.

it helps the defense when the offense looks like crap. Both offenses were very predictable and LSU's play calling was horrific.

I did think Alabama was the better team in the 1st game though. Just for fun, I would like to see LSU in a rematch with Oregon and West Virginia and Alabama's defense against Oklahoma State, Stanford, Oregon, and Wisconsin's offense.

Alabam had one penalty and that was LATE in the game. Saban had his team focused and ready.

ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!

^ I've seen the "play calling" and the "lack of preparation" comments all morning on other sites. But this was flat out a defensive domination by Bama. LSU could not throw down field, absolutely couldn't do it. When your QB gets 2.0 seconds, the ONLY offense you could muster is what they did. The Bama O-Line was completely blown off the line on every singe snap. Jefferson had zero options and never found a crease to run in except for the end of the game. To say it was poor play calling is not giving enough credit to the way that the front four of Bama played, which was PERFECT all night.

I know you have a feel for this, but last night was an effort by a defensive front that I have not seen since the 1985 Bears. The D-Line got off the ball on EVERY single snap. The Corners and Safety's made the right coverage over and over (easier to do when you only have to do it for 2 seconds per play). This made it easy for the LB's to just plug holes, run down hill, and put hurtful hits on offensive players all night long.
