S/C mus t ahve played well. Did the radio stats say S/C shot 70% for the game???
#5
This is completly different basketball team from two weeks ago. Watch out 15th.
#6
Ahhhh... maybe next time coach....its alright....you will bounce back from this...we will give you 4 more years.....lmao....

Johnson got a ton of rebounds seemed like, I'm pretty sure Kirk was something like 6/7 from 3 point land and Moore did whatever he wanted to with the basketball. Sheldon Clark looked great tonight. Paintsville was horrible in the half court. I saw them run the same exact play 4 or 5 times in a row and that was a weave at the top of the key which resulted in the exact same contested 3 point shot (all missed). The surprising thing to me was Zach Collins stepping in there as a freshman off the bench and lighting up the scoreboard. I'd go as far to say he finished with at least 15 points. Tiller forced some shots, but then again they don't have many scoring threats on offense other than him. In order for this team to improve they have to get better on defense. The typical Paintsville run and gun style isn't fit for this team, and they are going to have to crank it up defensively and look to play teams into a 40 and 50 point kind of game.

WSIP had Collins with 17, Tiller with 16 and Sublett with 8.

^ #23 kept that game from being very embarassing. How can you start the 2nd half with him on the bench. He was the only thing working for PHS

That's about what I expected. Thanks THOMCAT.

Say Snitch you and your little friends seem to like to ask questions. Now here is one for you. Why give Coach Ratliff four more years when they might be able to get a really high profile coach like yourself as is referenced by your post (#10) in the Paintsville Basketball thread. After all who would not want a coach with Pro. experience. You did mean NBA or was it Jr. Pro.Oh Well!!:hilarious:
On a serious note (Question #2), did you ever get the feeling you are being ignored. Heck I am your only friend on here and the only one giving you a look.Seriously I must bid you farewell. Have a good time with yourself.:foreveralone: I can't have folks thinking I am down here with you. Bye Bye.

Until the coaching staff starts taking responsibility for what is going on at Paintsville it is going to be a long year. Those boys play and practice their hearts out and get told that they did not play with heart from that wonderful coaching staff is insane. These players are beat before they step on the floor. They have lost confidence in their coach, and it looks like to me he has not confidence in himself. It is sad to watch what is going on. Heads are hanging low and it is time for Matt to be the bigger man and either asks for help or step aside to give these boys a chance in to complete this season with their head held high. Brow beating, screaming and stomping his feet are not working.

Before any of you decide to crucify me for my statements I do not have anyone that plays. My children do go to Paintsville and are friends with some of the players. These are good children and it a shame what is being allowed to continue. Any educator knows you have to say 3 positive things to cancel out one negative. Negative is not working at this point for sure.

CH, that was the best reply I have read in a long time. I also caught the "pro" coach statement and nearly pissed myself laughing so hard at it. Wonder if he will ever get having to play freshmen and eighth graders regularly there will be numerous bumps in the road of competition? Oh well, being a former professional coach/manager I'm sure he has had to deal with this type scenerio many times.

I caught that in the other thread myself. I thought, if there is a coach with pro experience in Johnson county, why in the hell hasn't Paintsville or Central snatched him up.

"I have several years experience as a coach. All the way from peewee leagues up to the pros....I coach as well as anyone from the armchair or bleachers"

No criticism for you. Your post seemed to be genuine and legimate in intent. Most of all there did not seem to be a desire to destroy a program that many of us who are out there love so much. Many who once wore Blue salute that which is supportive. A coach is merely a cog in the wheel, not the wheel.

It sure as heck seemed like it!

SCHS - 25 (2s), 8 (3s), 7/13 FTs
PHS - 14 (2s), 9 (3s), 1/2 FTs

"The Paint" is killing the Tigers. They have given up 244 (2s) on the season compared to scoring 180 (2s). That's a 128 pt difference. This has also allowed the opposing teams to shoot 219 FTS compared to the Tigers 196 FTs and only hitting 104 of those for 53%. But, other teams are only shooting 56% FTs against them. What has happened to the the art and pride of being able to make your FTs?

Hook, did the Daniels kid not score? Heard he was playing well and not afraid to mix it up with anybody on the post?

He was in TX for the Middle School Football game. I hope he decides to come home before Sat. for the All A against Pikeville. And you heard right. If you beat him on the block. You are going to the line for two NOT and one.

Totally forgot until you mentioned it about the football.

I know the Tigers are having a tough go of it and everyone should continue to support them, but Coach Baldwin and the Lady Tigers could use more support from Tiger Nation. The Lady Tigers are 10-3, leading the 57th district, ranked 6th in the WYMT Mountain Top Ten and are expected to make a strong run at a 15th region title.
