Congrats Breathitt on a great win against a good team.

About 15 seconds into the 4th Quarter Breathitt was up 12 and Matt Day had 10 or 12.
That changed really quickly.
Game was tied with 7 seconds left and Breathitt won it at the FT line with .7 seconds on the clock.
Day left a lot of points off the board with missed FTs but he hit some big ones at the end.
Denny ran a box-1 on him for 4 quarters.

Congrats Denny! Played a Diamond and 1 on Matt last year and held him to 14 while at Cordia, Box and 1 wasn't quite as effective but those 24 was a quite 24. Congrats Bobcats!

Winning at Buckhorn with the team the Wildcats have this year is BIG for Breathitt. The Bobcats probably move up in the region rankings---either 3rd or 4th.

Nice win for the bobcats. If the bobcats could of held on to the ball they could won by 15+. The bobcats did a great job on Day for three quarters but in the forth he took over. It was still a very nice win for the bobcats because they need to win one of them close games. Wes Noble had a big night made some big shot when it counted, also hats off to Josh Fletcher for defense and also had some big buckets on the offensive side of the ball. Hats off to coach Denny Fugate in a well deserve win. The bobcats have had some trouble this year in believe in their self in close games this win will only get them stronger and better. Also hats off to John Noble and his staff for a great come back and good luck the rest of the season, hopefully these two teams can meet again.

Great game! Breathitt appeared to just be a little too long and athletic on defense for the Wildcats most of the night. This is the best game I've seen the Fraley boy play. Early in the 4th, they went to him 2 straight times and got 4 quick points. Then, for some reason, he didn't get another touch in the paint. Breathitt has some problems handling the ball, and their turnovers allowed Buckhorn to get back into the game.
Both teams have the ability to beat anyone in the region, but I'm not sure either one is strong enough to win 3 straight to make it to Rupp. It was a great game though in a nice atmosphere, very fun to watch.

^I agree with you on Fraley.
He imposed his will on Matt Day inside when he got his touches...
and not many people around here can say they have the ability to do that.
The only person I've seen put it on Matt consistently was Dillon Cornett...
and that's saying something lol

Breathitt came in with a good game plan and played Buckhorn very physical. They caused all kinds of problems and was able to extend an early lead. Poor FT shooting killed the Horn. Got to give credit thought to a great come back in the 2nd half. Buckhorn never quit and had a chance to win. Great game on both sides! Would've liked to seen the Horn win but Breathitt just got us tonight. Congrats!

Day was frustrated all night with a chaser on him, when he finally got the ball he forced a lot in the first half. I thought Bhorn should of pressed a lot earlier than they did. If they would of done it in the 2nd quarter instead of in the 3rd, they may of came back and won by double digits. Breathitt did not do a good job at all with the press making several turnovers, and when getting fouled either team did not shoot very well from the free throw line. Both teams have some improving to do and I'm sure they will both make adjustments over the holidays. Both are pretty good teams, just need a little work on a couple of things. Congrats to Breathitt on a big win in the wildcat den. Merry Christmas.

Big 'W' for the Bobcats.

*Buckhorn needs to press more, gets them running easier
*Breathitt needs to work on there end game, they were rushing shots with a double digit lead, when they should of been working the ball around and wasting clock
*Both need to work on free throws, killed both teams
Both are top 5 teams in the region, post season will sure be fun to watch.

The Bobcats have held their own so far with big boys in the 14th they won one(Buckhorn) and lost one(Letcher Central). Now I'm just want too see how the play against the really big boys in Knott Co Central and Perry Central, and see if they have a chance to make to Rupp. It maybe a slim chance but I think they have a shot of getting there.

Congrats Breathitt

Nice Win Breathitt and Coach Fugate....have the Bobcats playing good

I'm going to watch Breathitt tonight at Owsley. There won't be much of a game to it. Owsley would have a hard time keeping it respectable even if they had everyone playing, but with both starting guards out it could get out of hand in a hurry.
I'm interested in seeing Breathitt's Noble. He played at Owsley his 7th grade year and I knew then, though he was little at the time, that he was going to be a good one.

He is a good player. Can take over games at times on both ends of the floor. He needs some work on his jumpshot, somewhat of a slow release and struggles from the outside at times. That is really his only weakness he has.
