Given the chaos in the Belfry/Central thread, it looks Belfry's football program is going to drown out its own asshole. So, let's say the unthinkable happens and Belfry ends up playing with themselves this year. Who would win?
Coach: Phillip Haywood (2 - 589 in State Championship games)

Belfry would have a good chance of winning.

That record is only as a head coach, sir. He's got 3 state championships. The most impressive thing about his 2-5 record in the title game is, every time the team he's lost to has gone on to be the State Champion.
Furthermore, what class would this game be in? Belfry is 0-6 in 3A State Title games, and 2-0 in 2A. That could play a huge role.
(I figure, why not play along?)

This post really did blow my mind. I'm pretty sure if you read it enough, you can time travel.

Ironically, they're also winless when scoring less points than their opponent.

The "old" 2A was in the 4 class system and is basically the new 3A.
That argument is null and void.

Both good points. Goes to show just what a team can do with the proper motivation.

This game would ruin the space-time continuum. Belfry's run defense is soooooo good that a team who will only run the entire game will never score. Belfry's offense can only score if they run the whole time.

I still don't see what's wrong with playing with yourself.... looks like a win win to me. :lmao:
and by the record of (2-589) Belfry would still win 587 times..might even catch up to Highlands..

This game would last so long that Belfry fans wouldn't be able to post on this thread anymore.... They would probably shut it down.... On a side note, running from the visitors stands to the home stands would make us the most physically fit fan base in the world!!!! Richard Simmons eat your heart out :biglmao:

If this were a state title game I'm sure Belfry would still find a way to lose.

LMAO, ask the guy who just had to pay out $40.00 on a bet he made that they would get beat by 20.... VERY proud of those young men as they played their asses off. Something evidently YOU have never done!

I'm not taking away from THAT game. Belfry played their asses off, I'll tip my hat to them on that. I thought Belfry would be spreading those legs and taking it this game but I was completely wrong, and unlike most trolls I'll man up and say when I'm wrong. Those boys have something to be proud of. I've played my ass off numerous times buddy, believe me I know what it's like.

And this thread was specially designed for YOU to tear EACH OTHER apart like you have been in the Belfry/Central thread. But now I'm doing all the ripping apart, figures.

Say WR 05 you seem at times have a good knowledge of sports. Some of your posts in my opinion hit the mark and are almost enjoyable. Then Bingo you go to deep left field. This type of display is of cource your choice. At any rate my point is that you seem to spend a great deal of time on BGR . I just bet your in the top 3 and maybe higher. Wow!!! That is really out of sight. I do have concern for you however and wonder if you have any other outlets which would allow you to vent. Maybe a job? School? etc. Hang in there pal. The only reason I turn the system on is to read your posts.

Thanks man, glad you turn it on just to see me. I'm special!
I am a college grad and am lucky enough to have a job (and a life
). I posted a lot back in 05, back in the day of stones, chisels, Xanga, and ICQ. After that, I used to just read on here for a long time to catch scores, etc. Always enjoyed watching the big throw down discussions lol. I enjoy trash talking and poking at other teams, and in all honesty think it's funny that people actually take me serious. This site is a great way to get rid of the stresses of life, although some people honestly let it add to their stresses. I do not use this to vent, but rather, to joke around and have fun. I always trash talk before a game, but if a game has been played, and my team, or any other teams, be it win, lose or draw, will get nothing but respect from me. But, at the same time, I love having my fun and poking shots at people, especially groups that have strong, passionate followings (ex: Belfry) because I know it'll stir things up.
My sense of humor is different, I'll admit. I usually take some kind of argument that is going on, greatly exaggerate it, and poke fun at it. It's just how I roll. Deep down though, I have respect for all these young men that play sports, of any kind, and think that they have a lot to be proud of in representing the state of Kentucky, regardless of what team they play for. Not to mention, this is a special time to be playing football in Kentucky, because you look how this state is putting teams on national boards (Trinity a possible #1, then BG & Highlands), and is producing a lot of very, very good football teams that I believe are highly underrated.

This thread reminds me of a snl skit back in the day. They did a jeopardy show in a Chicago bar. The questions were like who would win da bears vs a bus, answer the da bears and ditka vs a train, answer of course ditka. The final jeopardy question was ditka vs da bears. This question brought terrible anxiety to the contest but one contestant managed to come up with the correct answer: dikta vs da bears would be like matter vs. anti-matter and this would bring about the end of the world as we know it so we must do everything to avoid this match-up. Belfry vs Belfry would likily have a similiar outcome we must make sure this never happens.

When the khsaa in all it's infinite wisdom changed the 4 class system to the current 6 class system they watered down success for many schools. However, most 2A schools recieved just the opposite. The new 3A class consist of almost all of the old 2A powers plus some of the old small 3A teams(Louisville Central and Mason Co.). The only quality team that did not come along from the old 2A class that i can think of is Prestonsburg so old 2A is basically new 3A on steroids.

I miss the 2A class from when there were four classes. That was a class that always had some interesting games to watch due to the styles of football (Ex: Russell and Belfry). I thought they were the last talented of the four classes (1A had some very, very tough teams in Beechwood and sometimes NCC), but I thought it was the most evenly balanced of the four, making it a heck of a state tournament to watch.

LOL Random but, Coach drove a little green S10 FOREVER and all of Belfry High's student body was literally shocked when he pulled up in a new truck one day.

lol what is funny is this thread was started to fog on Belfry and be completely a trolling thread for wideright and it has backfired horribly as the Belfry fans who are classy are just playing along and noone is getting mad haha.

^ They played along pretty good in this thread. I'll tip my hat to them on that.
Now go to the "Central 15 Belfry 14" thread, and it's a different ball game.
Belfry fans, get that sand out of your vagina!
