WHITEFIELD ACADEMY
Coach: Chad Carr (fourth year).
Last season: 13-15, lost to Fern Creek 57-34 in first round of 26th District.
Player to watch: G Connor Fulkerson (6-0, Sr., 7 ppg., 6 apg.). Besides having good leadership skills, Fulkerson penetrates the defense well and takes the ball to the basket. âHeâs a good finisher around the basket,ââ Carr said. âHe has good floor presence.ââ
Other top players: C Josh Shipp (6-5, Sr., 8 ppg., 7 rpg.); G Michael Hildreth (5-9, Sr., 2.5 ppg.); F Luke Stoltz (6-0, Sr.); F Aaron Johnson (6-2, Jr.); F Andrew Campbell (6-2, Sr.); G Benjamin Pumpelly (5-8, Sr.).
Outlook: Fulkerson is the lone starter returning from last season, but the Wildcats have the most depth and athletic ability theyâve had in Carrâs four seasons at the school. Their goal is to have an 18-win season, win the All âAââ Seventh Region and reach the state tourney for the stateâs smallest schools.
