MALE
Coach: Larry Miller (first year).
Last season: 12-15, lost to Seneca 86-73 in Seventh Region quarterfinal.
Player to watch: At 6-3 and 220 pounds, senior Zach Moran (14.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg) gives the Bulldogs a physical inside presence. Miller expects him to be more of a threat from outside of the paint.
Other top players: G Lamarcus Taylor (5-9, Sr.); C Tyler Belew (6-5, Sr.); F Clarence Yancey (6-2, Sr.); G George Kimbrough (5-10, Sr.); G Josh Stoner (6-1, Jr.); F Steven Julian (6-3, So.); G/F Will Parker (6-5, Fr.).
Outlook: Miller replaces Tom Crews after 16 years at Moore. He inherits a squad with two returning starters in Moran and Taylor but is excited about several underclassmen. He said Stoner was one of the most consistent players during the summer and Julian was the top rebounder. Miller also said freshman Parker âhas really developed into a fine player, and if he continues to improve could start.â
