Boyle Co 23 Rockcastle County 0
#1
Final. Pretty ugly game by Boyle. Boyle better come out of the gate better against Lex Cath or they will get creamed.
#2
Final.

Looks like the Rebels will march on to a rematch with Lexington Catholic.

Congrats boyle will have to play better to beat lex cath.

I quess we should have watered the field more. Sorry I couldn't resist. I would like to congratulate the Rockets on a fine year. When Clark went down for the season a lot kids stepped up big time.
#5
^Well said. To be where we are without Clarke has been very good.

Good job Rock on the season ,
#7
Congrats Rebels
#8
Boyle came in and took it to us plain n simple
#9
Did Rock have a fumble near the goal-line, and then a blocked punt that gave Boyle County the ball at the 20-something of Rock's side of the field?

see i am not a hater just knew rock would struggle running the ball and putting points on the board against a good boyle county defense.

Congrats to Boyle County on the victory. ROCK had a really good season, so congrats to the Rockets, too!

I have to, proverbially, give the devil his due. Your score prediction was pretty close as well. Good call.

I just didn't see Boyle County as 26 points better than Rock, I wasn't at the game, so I didn't see it, but I still do not believe they are. However the scoreboard is all that truly matters. Good win Rebels.

Rock was stopped at the 6 inch line early in the game. Could have been a big momentum

I would have loved to see this game with a healthy Clarke Rowe. These 2 teams would have been very evenly matched.

Congrats to Boyle on the win. Tough loss for the kids and my sons. Ifs and buts...you know. I swear that kid crossed the goal line with the ball before his knee hit the ground. I don't think it would have been a game changer...but it might have tightened the score a bit and kept a bit more fight in the boys. The Boyle kids said some classy stuff to my oldest boy on this, his last game after it was over. He told me about it and I appreciated it. Good luck to Boyle on the rest of this season.

I thought Rock played a very good game and had a good game plan for boyle. They burned up a ton of time and had several first downs and converted 4 or 5 fourth downs. They brought the house on defense and caused us a bunch of problems. Congrats on a very good season.

Congrats Boyle on the win.

And congrats Rockets on a wonderful year.
I called it, district champs, a 9 win season.

Your not District Champs when you get beat 40-14 by KNOX---sorry.:eyeroll:

Rock still had a great season-

Echoing others, Congratulations Boyle Co. on the win and Rockcastle Co. on a great year!

Rock still had a great season-

That same Knox team lost to Russell County who BEAT Knox. Knox also had the weaker schedule, that is why they finished 3rd in the district.

Like it or not, Rock is your district champs.

Probably not but keep in mind he is the ALL-TIME LEADING RUSHER IN ROCKET HISTORY. Maybe he could have. Rock won district without him, maybe they could have won this game without him.

You can say all you want to. All Knox Central had to do was take care of business. Rock and Knox both controlled their destiny. If Rock beat Knox they controlled, they lost. Knox just had to beat Russell County, a team Rock had already beaten, Knox couldn't get the job done. By having a weak schedule and not taking care of business, they lost their chance to win district.

Rock assumed some of their teams would have been better that they scheduled (Sheldon Clark disappointing, etc...) but according to wins and losses, they had the better schedule of the 3 teams.

What I always say about winning races, divisions, districts, etc... take care of business and do not leave your destiny in someone elses hands. There is a reason 80% of people picked Russell County to win this district, they showed flashes of it. They played great games against Boyle County and Rockcastle, and played terrible games against Russell County and West Jessamine. Coach Russell had a better season that I predicted he would, I am glad he proved me wrong, so far.

Knox Central has nobody to blame except themselves for not winning the district.

Just watched the film and it appears his legs are on the ground when he's stretching out. Just my opinion of course. Congrats to your son on a great season and very hard fought game.
