I say stick with Newton. I know he's been horrible thus far in the season, but he's your only option at QB who has enough experience to play.

Newton is not the problem with UK's program. Newton was at least as good as Towles as a high school quarterback, IMO. In the Indiana state finals 5A game, Newton dominated the first half offensively so much that Carmel's opponent, Center Grove took extreme measures to keep the ball out of his hands in the second half. Center Grove recovered back-to-back on side kicks to come from behind and win the state title. It was the only possible way that they could have won because Newton was unstoppable on offense.

Put Towles on a team where he is running for his life on every play and he would look even more helpless next season than Newton has this season.

Rich Brooks was a very under rated coach and Joker Phillips is driving that point home to those who thought UK could do better than Brooks.

Like stated above, Newton is not the problem. The guy has a line who won't block and receivers that can't catch.

Kentucky has alot of problems on offense not just QB you cant blame newton for WR not catching the ball and the O Line not blocking. I would love to know how many dropped passes UK has this year

I dont think Newton is problem. Like some have already stated, the oline sucks and the WR's couldn't catch herpes at a backyard brothel behind a meth lab...

Low Blow man. In all seriousness though Newton is not a bad QB Like others have said if the receivers aint catching then what the heck is supposed to happen. On a side note if the guys bashing newton coached in 05 Woodson would have been benched because before 06 he sucked ass.

UK just flat ignored two capable WKy. qb's. Corey Robinson of Lone Oak, who is setting all sorts of passing records @ Troy. They also ignored a lesser - but still potent arm - Casey Brockman of Calloway Co., now at Murray State. Robinson threw for 357 yards against Arkansas w/1 pick. He is 114 for 192 @ 1328 yds. this year.
