^ Agreed, Cov Cath would beat NCC and Mayfield and probably Lex Cath.

Is Warren Central really that good ?
I agree with your top 10 otherwise . However, what about Bell, Boyle, Beechwood, Belfry & or Breathitt ?

Do you realize that nobody on this site gives any respect to any teams west of Bowling Green or Elizabethtown at all? There are several good teams down here in the western part of the state, and a few possible future Mr. Football canidates. This would include the best team in Class A, year in and year out, Mayfield, two strong Class 2A teams in Owensboro Catholic and Murray High, and a freshman phenom-led team in Caldwell County(Elijah Sindelar is a 6'4 225 lb. Freshman QB that is already breaking school records and putting himself in the state record books). Paducah Tilghman is a perennial Class 3A beast, not to mention the addition of Fort Campbell to the 3A mix this year. In 4A there is a fast-paced Lone Oak team. In 5A along with Bowling Green and Warren Central, there is a strong Christian County team, that went to the state finals last year. I will admit defeat in 6A, as Louisville has a choke hold on the talent pool in 6A.

Do you realize nobody gives any respect (in this thread anyway) to any team east of I-75? I agree that Christian and Ocath could be given consideration in the west, but Mayfield was mentioned. Bell Co and Harlan Co could also be mentioned but were not. Caldwell Co.? Murray High? Those teams aren't in the top 40 teams in the state much less top 10.

Do you both believe that nobody on this site gave any respect to teams West of the EKY border just a few years ago:Shaking:
This site has grown from the East going north-west with new members. We have been begging for membership from the West to find this site and participate. As we get consistent growth from the West, we will be able to all be educated on the entire states team sports. So help us ensure that we get our compatriots out west to find and participate in this site. right now, it's still 75% EKY, so it's logical that the bulk of the talk is going to be tainted that way.

There are not a lot of members from the west, and there aren't a lot of games from the that allow us to compare the west to the east. That doesn't mean that we don't respect them. In several threads I've talked about Madisonville, Lone Oak, Owensboro Cath, etc. There just not a lot of good way to compare. I want to say that Madisonville is the #4-#5 team in 4A, but there's just know way to look at the records, wins, losses to see how they line up with Boyle, Lex Cath, Rock, Russell Co, etc.
Regardless, I don't see a top 10 team in western ky at this point. Madisonville would be the highest ranked IMO.

I'm from the west and have posted here for three years. Christian Co. is 5-0 and probably the best west of Bowling Green but they have struggled against Lone Oak and Fort Campbell. Mayfield is good but not great. The list is fairly representative of 5th week teams. You always could argue about a bubble team or the 11th or 12best team but you have to start somewhere.

I like this site and will try to bring in people to this site from the west.:1:

Tica,
I certainly did not mean to slight you, you have been with us for the last few years, but you have stood with only a few of our Western members. I like that we are starting to get more members from the West. It has been a goal of mine personally to stretch the boundaries of this site, and many have been reluctant to let it grow. QQ's vision was to make it statewide and we are beginning to make headway.
