Cam Newton got off to a decent start 24-37 for 422 yards and 2 TDs. But an INT was what sunk the Panters chances.

422 yards is a "decent" start lol

He had a rushing TD to go with that and after week 1 he is leading the league in passing yards.

BTW...
That is the most yards a rookie QB has ever threw for in their first game.
Peyton Manning previously held the record at 302 yards.
This also ties the most yards ever by a rookie.
Matthew Stafford also threw for 422 yards in his rookie season.
It was against the Browns but it's still impressive lol
