don't know
They met back in 2008 @ Johnson Central and Central won 49-13
09-06-2011, 03:22 PM
just they don't use Canadian rules here

This does seem kind of odd for a midseason exhibition. Does someone at JC have a connection to this team or to Canadian football in general?

Yeah that is kinda important lol. Last time this bunch from Canada ran out of the wishbone, Im pretty sure they don't do that at all in canada because of the whole 3 downs to get 15 yards settup, instead of four to get 10. Im thinking these guys were just doing what they saw JC doing. Although I could be wrong.

As for a prediction Im thinking Johnson Central wins but not big.

Maybe the title is in French.

This team actually has a great reputation in football up there. They've won the Golden Horseshoe championship there more than once - which is an area including Toronto, Hamilton, Niagara, an urban area with a population about the same as the state of Kentucky. They've come down into the States before and beaten teams in areas like Cleveland. It's a good exhibition for them and a chance to play a team south of the border and get some experience in a different style. This will be their first game of the season, so can't really tell you much about them yet. Also a good experience for our kids to meet some folks from a different country and play alongside them. Last time, they were all very polite and sportsmanlike (which is more than I can say about the team from Mississippi JC entertained...)

Why even schedule this game? I know games can be hard to find for bigger schools but CANADA really? Get real! This is just plan out dumb. Someone needs to hit Matney with a HOP (for those of you who have NFL network you will understand)

Here, let me try and make a schedule that would make everybody out there happy for JCHS:
Louisville Trinity
Bell County
Highlands
Byrnes (SC)
St Thomas Aquinas (FL)
Cincinnati Moeller
University of Florida
New England Patriots
That strong enough, or should we add time travel, maybe put the 85 Bears on it, too?

Thomas More isn't a easy game lol. Last time central beat them to death but they probably couldve beat pikeville college that year lol.

I guess if no one is talking about your team then you should get worried. WE sure never catch a break on here, LOL!! No matter what we do it's the wrong thing.

LOOKS LIKE A PRETTY GOOD SCHEDULE. MATNEY PROBABLY THINKS HE COULD RUN THE TABLE WITH THAT SCHEDULE.

Better switch the Packers for the Pats, people will think your shying away from the best.

Looks like the Canadians went home in 2008 and brushed up on American football.
