Ok I'll translate for you. Based on Catholic's performance tonight I think they will lose to Boyle in a quarter final match-up. Sorry for the confusion.

Congrats Catholic see at boyle in a few weeks.

I have to agree. Their passing game is OK, but a good D will stop it. I was not impressed with their RB's though; looked slow and timid (tip toeing up to the line of scrimmage, a good, fast D will kill them).

LC is still good

Final
Jake Pumphrey's kick with 15 secs left won it for the Knights.
Kyle Bolin had two TD passes to Adam Bush and the D forced a safety and a bad snap on a punt scored another 2 points for LC.
LC should've won by a larger number just had poor tackling and too many penalties.
If they want to beat Boyle and Highlands they will need to play better

Congrats LC

Saw both play, both are very tough hard nosed teams. Congrats to LC.

Sounds like a great game! I knew it would be a close one. Bell lost to Cath by 6 and beat Lafayette by 6. This game was decided by half of those at 3. Lol good Luck to both. We Bell fans had a great pleasure of playing both of you this year.

When Lexington Catholic's Jake Pumphrey missed a 27-yard field goal with a minute left and the score tied 18-18 at Lafayette on Friday night, he thought he might have cost his team a victory.

"I was about to break down," Pumphrey said. "But my teammates helped me out."
Alex Nash, in particular, provided an assist.

On Lafayette's first snap after the missed kick, Nash picked off a pass in the right flat thrown by Garrett Peavler.
Lexington Catholic got the ball on the 20, and after five running plays Pumphrey booted a 22-yard field goal with 10 seconds left to give the Knights a 21-18 victory.
"I didn't think I'd get a second chance, but I was happy I did," Pumphrey said. "The second kick felt great."

This was only the second time Lexington Catholic has played a Lexington public school in football. The Knights beat Henry Clay 30-26 in the 1997 season opener.
Lexington Catholic Coach Bill Letton said he hopes this was the start "of a long line of healthy rivalries within the city. We have nothing but respect for Lafayette.
"The kids were having fun out here, and they treated the fans to a great high school football game.

"I truly think this was the best two teams in the city going head-to-head, just standing in the center of the ring throwing their best punches.
"Fortunately, we got the last punch in."

Just because a kid is a backup doesn't mean he can't play. I watched the other QB, "starter", against Bell Co. last week and against Lex Cath last year in a scrimage and IMO the backup QB gave Lafayette a QB that was more mobile than the starter. The kid had respectable numbers to have such limited playing time logged in.

Yeah and that back- up QB is A LOT better than the starter Smith. Hope Lafayette keep # 4 as a starter.
