This kind of stuff pisses me off. Exactly who does it harm?? If I went to a heavily Muslim area or Jewish area for an event, if they want to do a prayer IT IS FINE. It does not harm or insult me. Just more of people being overly sensitive to something that has nothing to do with them. Just stand there and respectfully let the christian fans have their moment which is usually no longer than 20 seconds. If it REALLY bothers you that much, just stay at home. How long until someone complains about the National Anthem being played? And I really don't care if there is a prayer or not, but if the school wants one, then let them have one.

Wow that's stupid to stop it

I'm not sure if you realize it or not but you're making their point.

After the National Anthem is played all the fans say the Lords Prayer . They can't stop everyone from doing this on there own!!!!!!

Well, if it's so bothersome to us that disagree with the removal of prayer, I suggest you do something about it and call and ask for it to be reinstated. Its the silent majority that has caused this country to sink like a turd down a toilet.

What a joke this is not hurting nobody. BUT SADLY THIS IS WHAT IT HAS COME TO.

If the distict is Bell, I think our superintendent and board of education members should be ashamed that they let this happen!! I wasn't at the game but I heard about it and think it is a slap in the face to the christian community. It is no wonder our youth are having to face the obstacles in life they do, the non-believers are always getting their way on kicking Christ out of the school systems. All the christians in our community should band together and demand that prayer be reinstituted before the games, if not, then we should boycott the games and cost the school systems tons of money!! Then we need to vote out all the board members who agree with kicking prayer outand get rid of our weak superintendent!! God bless our children and all those who are trying to reistate prayer at the games and in school! we should all also pry for those who are trying to keep it out! Lord have mercy on their soles! Jesus Rules!!!:notworthy:notworthy

We had a Church Camp in Perry County that offered a free camp to anyone who could recite so many Bible Verses that was no banned from doing anything Christ-related in the schools because of one complaint.
I can't stand these organizations that purposefully look for something that they don't like and ask for it to be stopped.

And MOST of us are Christian by faith (of those that profess a faith). With the freedom of religion also comes the freedom to not participate in a prayer. No one held a gun to their heads and made them join in the prayer. If they are offended, they have the right to simply ignore it OR NOT GO TO THE GAME IF IT BOTHERS THEM SO MUCH. Pitiful. I agree with PAnther Thunder, it is inevitable that some cretin will complain about the NAtional Anthem, probably say it is too violent or glorifies violence or whatever. Again, don't like it, DON'T PARTICIPATE. Geesh, this pisses me off.

So let me get this straight. If a few don't like it. And without letting anyone know who they are they can stop what 98% of the people want.
So why can't a few call saying they must have it for the same reasons! It would then be reinstated right????? I mean if it works one way. Surley it would work the other!! Right?? Lets see now. It takes 51% of the people to vote in a president of the UNITED STATES. But only 2% to take prayer and other things out of school sports.
PRAISE OBAMA AND THE ACLU!!
We are getting what we asked for. So why is so many complaining!!

Groups like this seem like attention-crying dramatic idiots. My brother is an open-atheist, but even he doesn't care to hear a prayer. He might think it's dumb and not believe in it, but he's not going to complain. There are far more Christians than non-Christians. I think they should just spare the 20 seconds and watch a ballgame. It's ridiculous honestly. Do they not pray before NASCAR and other pro sporting events?

This incident happened at the Bell Co./Harlan Ind. SEKC Gridorama. It was my Pastor that was supposed to deliver the pregame prayer. He has Given the pregame prayers at Bell Co. High School for many Years. He spoke about this attack on Christianity a few times since. It is sad. It is an attack on the very moral fiber that holds this country together. That moral fiber is tattered and torn now. I don't see it coming back. People ,You need to be ready for things to get worse. I could see there being a ban on churches and Bibles and Jesus in general. The world has tried to get rid of him since his birth 2000 years ago and it can't. But, they will keep trying and things will get worse. Thats why the Bible says to keep the word in your heart. Get to know Jesus and read your Bible and keep those holy words locked in your heart. No one can take it away from you that way.

Sadly Christians are probably the most descriminated against group in America!

WOW...so to keep from offending 1 family....they Offended the whole county and surrounding counties and so forth!...way to go JACK HOLES !
so what happens if they do it anyway?...do they get fined?...penalized someway?....perhaps it's worth the punishment?
might look into that....if it is a fine....maybe people would be willing to donate money to help pay it!
I'm sure with the outrage the school is looking into every option they can though!....sad this has happened!
I'm rooting for them to find a solution!...:AngelPray + :football: = GOOD!!

The FRF is preventing Bell County from practicing their religion freely, which is a violation of the law. There is nothing in Bell County Schools that says people have to respect the school's tradition of prayer before the game. If I was the Superintendent of Bell County Schools, 1. I would allow the prayer, 2. Threaten to counter sue FRF for violating the right to practice religion freely, and 3. I would beat the daylights out of the head of that group, then bless his soul with my foot up his, you get the idea

I get more and more frustrated by the day about groups that decide what “I” get to do or enjoy. Everyone says that you can do something about it, but in reality I’m starting to question if you can or not. Mine is only one vote; only one voice. I wonder if the ACLU and one offended “family” could/would prevent other cultures from expressing their religious views publicly……interesting.
In any event, can a group of fans be prevented from meeting in the middle of the stands or a pre-determined area, and having prayer? It may come down to this.

We are a country that protects the rights of the minority. If one person was offended it violates seperation of church and state.
Bell could force the issue and make a federal case out of it but in the end they would lose. It comes down to the patrons of a football game are a "capitive" audience and there for are forced to listen

So tell me this.....
I never read in the article indicating that anyone that had ever stepped on Log Mountain complained.
I just saw where the FRF sent a letter stating the Prayer was illegal.
From what I can gather the FRF just went out looking for something Christian to squash and this is what they chose.
