Nice article on Pike and Towles
QBs Zeke Pike, Patrick Towles making their own names
NFL player's son, Hall of Fame pitcher's grandson are top prospects
Patrick Towles was 2 1/2 years old in 1996 when he made his first appearance on ESPN.
He was shown sitting on his mother's lap as his grandfather, Jim Bunning, was being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
A year or two later, a 5-year-old Zeke Pike was constantly being shooed out of the Buffalo Bills locker room by his father's teammates or the team's trainer whenever he swiped a piece of bubble gum.
Towles and Pike are now senior quarterbacks at Highlands and Dixie Heights, respectively, and while they both grew up in the shadow of professional athletes in their families, they are also both carving their own athletic niche.
