I will tell everybody friday when we find out for sure. I heard it will be a three way scrimmage. we just dont know yet. Beside this is about PCC and Greenup that is not a secret. Fly by night why are you so worried about who pike central scrimmage?

I think the Hawks will be just fine. Coach Mike has his defense looking real good. The Hawks will have a new look on both side of the ball. I think it will be a great season. Hawks beat Greenup with the air attack. Go Hawks

I'm not sure if its going to be against any certain team tho, probably 1st string against 2nd string.

Greenup County High School is right on US 23 in Lloyd, Kentucky. You could watch the game from US 23 so its very close to the highway.

IMO I'll say the Pike Central Hawks Offense combined with their new defense will be too much for Greenup and I predict Pike Central by 3 TD's since this is only their 1st game & you have to get that 1st game jitters out of the way LOL . I may change my mind after I see them in action in their scrimmage this upcoming weekend.

The scrimmage between Betsy Layne and Greenup County is Friday, August 12th at Greenup County.

Still waiting for confirmation on Pike County Central's scrimmage opponents, dates, and times.

1st game of the season, I'm sure that both teams may have a time learning their rhythm.

Should be a closer game that most people may expect, but I'll still say Pike Central will take this one on the road.

I don't have a dog in this fight. But thinking like this could hurt. If anyone takes any team lightly could bite them in the ........ Greenup does have a new coach. And lost alot of the better players from last year. But if you have no idea of what Greenup Co will be putting on the field how can you say your going to win by 7, 14, 24 or whatever. Greenup should be down from last years season. But GCHS is a 4A school and should be able to come up with some skilled players!! Watch Out! RESPECT ALL! GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS.

GC has around 17 seniors this year we lost alot from last year. Last year it was a power run team this year built more around speed. Everyone knows they'll be running the ball but u still got to stop them.

Greenup County did lose a bunch of talent, but alot of new talent came out this season with the new coach, they ran the ball against Betsy Lane and put up 28 pts., threw it a couple times, both were intercepted, the sophmore qb. Barney needs to improve in that area, the defense did not let Betsy Lane score though, it should be a good game anyway.

Betsy Layne's coach left the varsity in until after he knew that Greenup County's varsity came out.

In fact, Greenup County's freshmen were in the game and almost gained a first down against Betsy Layne's varsity team.

If the coach from Betsy Layne removed some of the varsity players then that was his choice, but it only took 4 plays for Greenup County to march down the field at the beginning of the 2nd half to score.

Most, if not all, of the big plays against Greenup County came due to inexperience from not attacking their sweep correctly. Adjustments were made and you saw the results of those in the 2nd half of the varsity scrimmage.
