Pittsburgh Pirates are they the same old Pirates?
#1
Looks like reality is setting in Pittsburgh. The pirates have lost 9 out of 10 and are now 2 games below .500

Has the magic left the steel city?

Well, I will admit, that a freakin 7 game losing streak wont do anything to boost enthusiasm, but the Bucs have blown leads in 8 games during the awful streak thats seen them lose 12 of 15 games. While I would say theres no chance we win the division, I still aint ruling out the possibility of a .500 season, which will be just perfect with me, since that was the ultimate goal at the beginning of the season.

^ At least they did not sell off their talent this year (so far)

They look like they are collapsing....
however, there is still quite a bit of ball to be played and after looking at their schedule they have 10 games against the Brews left.
If they can weather the storm they still have a shot at the division.

Two kinds of people like the Yankees. Fags and movie stars. Whats the last movie youve played in? Wait..you must be the other group..

Nine in a row slide. My Reds aren't doing much better either. Looks like the Central is the Brewers to loose.

“Relax, all right? Don’t try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they’re fascist. Throw some ground balls – it’s more democratic.”

Yeah, I honestly dont remember a time where Ive seen the Bucs play as bad as they have the past six or seven games, and Ive seen them play some bad baseball before, but 15-5 and 13-2 to the PADRES?? Losing six in a row to the Cubs and Padres at HOME...jeez..and, they have a gauntlet coming up on the schedule. My heart is breaking..seriously. I hate this damn streak, and just once I'd love to look at the standings at the end of the year and see the Pirates at 82-80. To put it in perspective, there are kids that have graduated high school that have never seen the Pirates win more than 78 games in a season. I dont expect playoff runs, or division championships, but is a winning record to much to ask for? For what its worth, I hope they resign Ryan Ludwick and Derrek Lee at the end of the year. I like their bats, and I believe they could be reasonable, and both would do perfect at PNC Park. I think a Walker, McCutchen and Ludwick 3-4-5 would be a fairly formidable mid lineup too..

For anyone interested, Yankees are in first place. As usual.
Even Sherman likes the Yanks. Next to his beloved green an white Cavaliers.

DUUUUDE! I almost forgot to tell you, there is a huge uprising here, LOL..When you pull into Jenkins from 23, you'd see a huge Cavalier painted on the ampitheater wall. Well, the ampitheater decided they wanted a cleaner look, so they had the mural painted over. Some people here are about to riot. Im wondering if Sherman is in full camo mode, facepaint, leaves and branches covering him in his spot in the woods, while he holds a sniper rifle, waiting for the "dirty SOB" that painted over his mural..
