Well guys, it's about that time again.
After it was first brought up in a thread earlier this month whether BGR would have a football contest this year, as of now it is set to go again. I didn't think I would be able to do it due to time constraints, but Strikeout King stepped up and agreed to help co-run the contest with me this year.
So be on the lookout for more info as we get closer to the start of the season. Full rules for the contest will be posted, and of course the first week will begin with the so-called "week 0" slate of games. Good luck to everyone in advance!

Look guys, I know that a lot of people on here want even more mountain/EKY games in the contest. That's understandable, since we have more BGR members from the eastern part of the state than any other. I myself am from eastern KY (as if you couldn't tell by my sig picture). But last year I usually tried to have at least 3-4 EKY games every week that I selected the games, and I think that's a good number.
The thing is that we now have BGR members from all over Kentucky, and I don't want them to feel left out by this contest. That's why I want to have at least one game each week from each of the other areas of the state, meaning northern KY, southern KY, western KY, Lexington and Louisville. In order to do that, i can't just load up on 7-8 EKY games each week. It's a balancing act, but each week I think you'll find that there are more games from EKY than from any other region.

Thank you MC for keeping this fair and legit. I'd rather see a game from each of the typical regions than anything. Let's force ourselves to learn about the other areas. There will be prediction threads for virtually every game from EKY, NKY and Lexington, so let the members get their fix from the prediction threads instead of the Pick-em contest.

You will pick the winner of 10 games chosen by the administrators, plus a game of the week. Points are given for each one you get right plus extra for the game of the week. There is also a tie breaker and that is the game of the week score that you will also try to guess. You do this every week and whoever has the most points at the end of the year wins.

Yea, but thats the hard part lol.
Youll do fine. Dont quit to early if you have a couple of bad weeks to begin with, ive seen some incredible comebacks, especially when playoff times roll around.
By the way, welcome to site and enjoy.

It doesn't matter what part of the state the games from. Try to pick the best games that you can.
They should understand, the best games is not always from eastern ky.
