MLB rejects Dodgers’ television deal with Fox
#1
Commissioner Bud Selig on Monday rejected a proposed television rights package that would have given life to Frank McCourt’s ownership of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

To me, this looks a very dirty tactic by MLB.

It seems as if they are doing everything they can to make Frank lose this team.

He gets a tv deal that would keep him as the owner, finalize the divorce and make payroll in time. Instead the commissioners office rejects a tv deal which basically gives them control of the Dodgers. That looks fishy.

He ran out of money to run the Dodgers, so he was trying to get I believe $30 Mil to continue running it but that's when MLB came in and took over

Well duh, everybody knows that. He owns the team though and this deal with Fox would help him easily make payroll.

and MLB came in and took over so the Dodgers wouldn't go down the drain

That's not the point. If MLB allows McCourt to make this deal with Fox, he'll be able to make payroll and handle his finances for the future.

^ now I get what your saying. Let him have the deal with Fox so that he can run the Dodgers Franchise to get money built back up over time and continue running it. Maybe MLB didn't like the direction the Dodgers were headed

Selig wants to control the Dodgers. Allowing this deal would end that.
