Wow, so Pikeville went with Burton in the opening round game. Interesting. I'm thinking Burton hasn't pitched against Paintsville this year if that is the case. So he is saving Cecil and Hamilton for the other games, Maynard on in relief if they get a big lead, most likely.
#6
who is pitching for paintsville?
#7

#8

It's 2-0 now. Pikeville had errors on consecutive bunts to allow Paintsville to score the first run. The cleanup hitter then struck out with 2nd and 3rd and no outs. The 5th hitter grounded to first and Hamilton threw Sublett out at home. The next hitter dropped one in to score the 2nd run. On the radio they said it looked like some miscommunication in the outfield.

Tough pitcher. The heat/humidity today (if it climbs like they say) may be a deciding factor. I'm not sure how deep he and Burton go into the game, what's their stamina like? When I saw Burton pitch last, it was a cool day, so I really have nothing to compare it to.

tO BE HONEST i HAVENT SEEN BURTON AT ALL THIS YEAR MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE CAN HELP US OUT WITH THAT ONE.

PIKEVILLE has taken a 3-2 lead

Great defense after the back to back errors on bunts, you mean? They finally settled down, sounds like. I know many of them had a busy weekend (prom, graduations, etc), so maybe they just needed to shake some rust off. Shew, not a good team to have rust against. Much respect out to the Tigers and the Jackson kid! Anyone got any stats from the game?
#28
yes that is a final and yea they had a couple if hiccups on defense!

Good deal.. Rather they have the hiccups against Paintsville and get it out of the way than against LC.

That ball should have been caught in the outfield. No one took charge and let it drop.

The bunts, first one was misplayed by Burton and the second one was misplayed by everyone, no one took charge.

Got to correct these mistakes.
