The Royals from Maysville always have a good team. I remember the Chris Lofton teams that battled with Rock. My wife is from the Fleming-Mason area and my brother-in-law graduated from there. I expect them to do well.

Did Pawsat graduate?

In that case, they will have one definite loss, but will have a chance to win the rest of their games before playoffs.

They could very well be 2-3 rolling into district play (Lafayette, Rowan, and HHS)...however those games will do nothing but help them ready themselves for a deeper playoff run.

I heard all is not well in Royal land. Senior RB/LB Josh Harris is an ESPN Top 150 Recruit, but the pieces around him are questionable. Mason lost numerous key contributors from last season. Most OL, QB, FB, WR, 2 LB's, etc. Right now Harris and senior Tyler Black are really the only "stars", if you will, remaining on the team that lost to Belfry in the second round last year. We'll see how it goes for the Royals, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had a 5-5 or 6-4 season. QB is the biggest question mark on the team. Something that Mason County hasn't had to seal with in some time. It will be interesting how it all pans out for them.
