Point guard Anthony Hickey signed a national letter of intent with LSU on Tuesday.

Hickey, who also considered Tennessee, Mississippi State, Butler and Western Kentucky, signed the letter during a ceremony at Christian County High School in Hopkinsville, Ky.

Congrats to Hickey. Though not as high profile as the other UK recruits, this kid could have fit at UK as a four year player. I wish him well and hope he does not become a UK Killer!

I hope he can excel there. He will be with O'Byrant who is a stud. Just give him the ball and make good decisions.

LSU is a tough school for basketball though.

I have seen Hickey put on some of the best personal performances ever at Rupp arena, simply amazing. I have also seen him play in aau competition against other D-1 talent and he wasn't the same player. He is going to have to shoot the outside shot a whole lot better as he is not going to get the same shots in the paint he has been getting in the sec. He has always been a winner, will be interesting to see if his competitive spirit can overcome his physical deficiencies in the SEC. But he is getting a chance most KY kids never get, so good luck to him.
My guess is he will not live up to expectations in the KY-INd all star game, but I hope I'm wrong. He has had an amazing career up to this point.

They go through spurts where Basketball rides at the top of the hill.
