A couple of days ago, Eli Capilouto was called the “sole finalist” for the vacancy left open by Lee Todd. Today, Eli Capilouto was officially named President of the University of Kentucky. The unanimous decision was made at a Board of Trustees meeting this afternoon. The 61-year old Capilouto has served as provost at UAB since 2005.


I dont know exactly what a “provost” does, but I hope it involves building new basketball arenas in downtown areas. That, or advising and supporting football stadium modifications. We’ll take either.
