Congrats to a great young man. I know the people in Morehead are glad they can ride an hour down the road to see him play his college football. UK, missed out on a good player with this kid.

I Agree. I've seen him play Twice. Kid is Amazing. He's one of the Best if not the best QB in the State

Congrats to Wing, he's a great QB and he'll fit in nicely at Marshall. Any chance they'll let him play basketball too?
#6
I got to see him play LC before we played them last year. I have never seen one player dominate a game any more in the mountains than he did that game. He is exceptional. I wish him the very best for his Senior year and in his college career.

That's what I was wondering. I expected him to go to a bigger school and this choice makes me believe that they may give him that chance.

It's Possible. When Miami (FL) Recruited Alex Rodriguez (NYY) they Recruited him to play both Football and Baseball
#9
Yeah, but that was A-Rod. Lol. Donovan McNabb played basketball and football at Syracuse.

anything's possible but I wish nothing but the best for him
#11
Me too.

Congrats to Adam!!!! He is one of the sprecial ball players in the state , and in the consideration for both Mr. Football and Basketball.

He truely has the talent to play basketball in the MAC, but I feel he can do a lot better in football.

I think Marshall is in Conference USA now with Central Florida, Houston, Memphis, Tulsa, UTEP, East Carolina and a few others. C-USA is a great conference. Last season Central Florida-Champion of the conference defeated SEC power Georgia in the Liberty Bowl. Adam, will do fine and lead Marshall to many bowl games and hopefully play in the NFL one day. Some of the best QB's in the NFL came from the MAC, Conference USA & Big East not the SEC, Big 12, Big 10 or Pac 12.

A little defensive about the conference Marshall plays in. I don't think anyone even brought it up. Good luck Adam playing for the Herd!

Great all around athlete

Not being defensive about Conference USA just trying to state facts. I hope Adam Wing gets to face off against Pat Towles in the Regional Finals this year. Im not saying Rowan would even be close in the game I just hope two of the top guns in our state get to go head to head.

there are still alot of football players that play other sports too. It can be a big sell for recruits. Few years ago, Spencer Ware from Princeton H.S. in Cincinnati chose LSU over Ohio State because Les Miles allows football players to play other sports as long as they make that team. Ohio State wouldnt let him play baseball too

watched this kid play at the state tourny, he had the stroke..definetly stood out..happy to see him join combs at marshall

I'm assuming you are talking about Basketball?
#21
^ Yes. We were talking about the possibility of him playing both sports at Marshall. I think he's good enough.
#22
Wow, that's pretty cool
#23
Congrats Adam! I've watched him play basketball, but never seen him play football. But he's an athlete!!!
#24
Congrats to one heck of a player!
#25
He can play both, very few kids we get to see have the "it" factor like Adam has. My guess is if he wants to play both, they will let him.
#26
Very hard to play two D1 sports because of time commitments for both of them. Elite athletes likes Deion Sanders, Charlie Ward, etc. are rare athletes than can do this. I think Adam will find this out once he gets on a college campus and discovers what exactly a student-athlete has to do. Wish him the best I think Marshall is getting a great player and person.

Good luck to Him!!!:BigLaugh:

Congrats to Mr. Wing.
