Really???? so you don't care if Shelvin Mack (Bryan Station Product) gets a Championship or not??
#6
^ I'm not rooting for a kid just because he came from the state to win a title! I would not have rooted for Tenn just because they had Hopson! What does a player with ties to the state have to do with it?
#7
^ Figured people from the state that he came from would wanna see him win a Championship
#8
So should we root for every team that has a former athlete who comes from the state win a title? Why? It's a big state. I don't know him. Never seen him. Never knew anything about him until he went to Butler.
#9
I thought the season was over?

if Kentucky isn't playing then Yes, well at least I would
#11
Don't care, not watching it.
#12

I would rot before I rooted for TN and Hopson. That has no bearing on how I feel about Mack, but it explains that I don't root for every kid, just because he's from KY.
#14
^ well Tennessee won't ever make it to the National Championship cause they can't get a good coach and get the best players to get them there
#15
^ So how does that have anything to do with rooting with a player that comes from the state of Kentucky?
#16
I Gotta root for the KY boy.

Allow me to clarify. I will ONLY root for the KY boy or girl on two occasions:
1. If I know them OR
2. If UK, UL, Morehead St., EKU, WKU, etc... are out and it is their team vs. someone else. (Kinda like now)

So you wouldn't cheer for an In-State player that plays College ball at another school if they were playing in the National Championship and Kentucky wasn't or am I the only one on here that would?

SD was just commenting on you saying that Hopson and TN wouldn't be playing in a championship game. You didn't say you would root for them, you side stepped the Hopson/TN comment. Would you root for Hopson and TN?

I know that is SK's question but I will answer it for me:

Very tough decision. I would probably just watch and not care who wins.

I would want Hopson to do well but just not care who wins.

It would be a win for the SEC, but at the same time, it would be a win for UT, which always hurts.

IF they was playing for the National Championship and Kentucky wasn't then Yes

If either of my brothers wore a Tennessee or Auburn jersey, I'd still root against them.

UConn wins

Double Dominance...UConn's Women's will also win another National Championship.

 If my youngest daughter, that isn't in college yet, decided she wanted to go to TN, she would go on her own dime.

I think it would be the third time it was done
#27
If you font play for uk i couldnt care less.
#28
It's not Mack's fault that he is not playing for UK. That coaching genius Billy Gillispie decided that he was not good enough to wear the blue and white of Kentucky. If BCG had signed Mack. he would have spent two years watching blue chippers like Michael Porter play while worrying about his coach hitting on his girlfriend.

This should be a very good game. I am going with Butler in a low scoring affair, which would make the Bulldogs the most unlikely champion at least since NC State under Jim Valvano.

As many have stated, my heart tells me Butler but my mind tells me UConn....
