Depends if someone really steps up and has a great tourney that would have gotten some votes anyway.

Isn't Mr. Basketball voted on before the state tournament even begins?

I know that it was after the sweet 16 last year. If I had to bet I would still say it will go to Behanan until something further develops at the sweet 16.

I believe Warren Centrals George Fant and Jordan Shanklin should be up for consideration as well as Anthony Hickey of Christian County.
#8
Anthony Hickey could have a real shot if he has a good showing at Rupp.
#9
Fant, Vinny Zollo of GRC, Robbie Stenzel of GRC, Hickey, and Martin of LexCath could all give themselves a great shot with a good showing at the Sweet 16. Timmy Knipp and Chane Behanan are the only ones I'd hold my breath on that didn't make the Sweet 16.

So after seeing him tear it up in 3 games, im taking Anthony Hickey

Me too! I can't wait to see him matchup with Rowan County's defensive specialist, Darrell Cross.

Has to be Anthony Hickey.

No doubt. It has to go to the Hickey kid. This tourney was amazing for him. Same as Elisha Justice last year, the tourney allowed Hickey to really make his case for Mr. Basketball in a much bigger light.

Anthony Hickey. #23. Mr. Basketball in the state of Kentucky.

Anything else is blasphemy.

If you watched the whole State Tournament, like I did, you would be able to tell that HICKEY is the best player in the State.... HATS OFF TO THIS KID, HE PLAYED HARD AND LED HIS TEAM....
#16
Does anyone know where this kid is going to play college ball? I would hope that a Kentucky school picked him up.

I think he's going somewhere for football. Not 100% sure though.

He is still waiting to choose which school he will attend. I am sure after this tourney, he will have many more to choose from. Basketball is his sport of choice, but he excels at both.

This kid should pull double duty. If he wants to play football at UK I would love to have him on the basketball team as well!! (Im dreaming) Seriously this kid has to be one of the best athletes I have seen if he is actually picking football over basketball.

Heard that Nebraska and TCU was at the state tourney and both offered. Personally I think UK needs to really look at this kid...he can play and will be there 4 years.

Ive seen him play both football and basketball in person, and he's been one of my favorite athletes to watch in person. I doubt some big programs would let him play both football and basketball, but he could easily excel at both.

Chris Ferguson from Powell should get serious consideration, I know his team didn't make state, but anyone from the 14th whos seen this kid play knows hes one of the best players in the state.

I'm from the 14th region and saw him play twice. Very good 14th region ball player, BUT he's not in the top 15 best players in the state... Sorry but I do like this kid....

I say Timmy Knipp deserves this award. Behanan has never impressed me at all. JMO though but Knipp is LEGIT!!
