Sorry RoadRunner, but I have to disagree. Since the transfers of Paige Lowe and Kayla Johnson, Pike Central has compiled a 3-6 record. The record doesn't show it, but the Lady Hawks have played their best basketball during this 9-game stretch. The six teams they have lost to during this time have a combined overall record of 75-34 (the overall record for the teams responsible for all 8 losses is 107-40) . In these six games they have only been blown-out once (24 by Rose Hill) and that was only after they had cut a 20-point halftime deficit to 9. When you look at the fact that haven't seen their homecourt for a game in almost exactly one month, you may want to reserve your final judgemnet of this team. But, then again, there have been detractors the entire season and I'm sure they won't stop now.

Good post, Weis - I must say that the Belfry game was a good showing. These girls FINALLY mesh well as a team and have learned defense. Their overall athletic skills have improved and best of all they are such a young team. I think next season they will be ready to take on the competition and defeat. Win/Loss numbers are important but the end of the story is not the record. I am glad to see this team bonding and learning the game.
