I remember Fat Albert from when my KIDS were young. If you want to discuss when I was young (I WAS young at one time...right?), then we can go with these and add:

Deputy Dog
Captain Kangaroo, with Tom Teriffic and his Mighty Dog Manfred
Yogi, BooBoo and Jellystone Park and the pic a nic baskets
Popeye
Mighty Mouse
Wylie Cyote and The Road Runner

I could go on and on........
#13
Oh yeah, I forgot Huckleberry Houuuund Dog and Quick Draw McGraw (I'll do the thinnin' around here, and don't you forget it!!)

ROFL!!! Great memories.

Hey, now! You're not that old. Those were from my time also!
I would say most of the people our age from the EKY area would also remember and a few prolly were on the show:

MR. CARTOON and BEEPER!!!

"ROLL IT!"

I remember those, Yogi, Popeye, Wylie and the Road Runner. I never watched Captian Kangaroo much, we only picked up one channel (WSAZ).

I remeber Mr. Cartoon!!! I was never on that show, but I knew tons of people who were on that show.

Is the guy who played Mr. Cartoon (Jule Huffman I think) still alive? I was thinking about him and that show the other day.

If we were lucky, we could get two. When they cleared up the Knoxville channell we were thrilled because we could watch Bonanza and Candid Camera after Sunday night church. Also Cas Walker's Farm and Home Hour was on in the mornings with Dolly Parton singing. I used to watch that while I got dressed for school.....behind a warm morning stove.

Yes, he is. They just did a special on him on wsaz.com for "Where Are They Now". I have attached a link for you. They photos and video interviews. Check out all the post people have left him. It is amazing how many people's lives this man has touched, mine included.

Mr. Cartoon was so much better than the Flippo the Clown character that aired in Columbus, Ohio at the same time.
