How many wins is Bell County coach Hilton from holding record?
#31
former Wrote:I am curious to how many wins he had at Breathitt. In each year please.

johnnyt Wrote:the 91 season when they won state they had 4 forfeit losses. they had a player who went to middlesboro his freshman year then transferred to bell. he then played for 3 years at bell, then in the 5th game of his senior year after middlesboro got beat by bell they lodged a protest to the khsaa about him and bell had to forfeit. they actually lost the third game of that season to corbin so they only had to forfeit 4 games. they finished the season 9-5 state champions. the kids name was david daniels.

btw they count as losses on coach hiltons win/loss total

former I may be able to get that for you it will take a little time. And Johnnyt they were 10-5 not 9-5.

no it was only a 14 game season for the championship. i was on the team.

You must be losing your mind they wo 10 games that year and you can take that to the bank. That was the first year of the new playoff system of 4 teams making the playoffs and that was a 10 game regular season and 5 playoff games. The only game that Bell lost was to Corbin.

Here you go former. Only 2 losing seasons he has had was the first 2 years at Breathitt. He has never had one at Bell County. The worst season was the first one in 1983 6-5.

1975 2-9
1976 5-6
1977 7-4
1978 11-1
1979 7-4
1980 10-1

with all do respect but your wrong on that, I was a waterboy/student manager from my freshman to my sophomore season.....from 2005 to 2006, I was a reserved player during the 05 season, and 2006 I played 3rd string tailback and linebacker. I might have not been the superstar during that time but I know what it felt like wearing the rock armor defeating a big rival twice. My senior year was the best highlight just because of Bell County and us going after it and at the end it was Rock's result of wins in close ones. I do respect Bell's program,I'm very political on certain things of the sport but I do respect Bell and no I don't love Bell County, there is a huge difference between love and respect. The two subjects I love is Kentucky High School Football and Rockcastle County High School Football, I do respect Bell County though.

Thanks for the link. What Jack Morriss did at Mayfield is astounding. At the rate he established, he would have had over 500 wins before he suffered his 100th loss.

With all due respect you dressed out for one game vs. Clay Co. You was the waterboy and not a player. You practiced one week and played in 1 game in 4 years.

this is about Coach, not about if Bobby Bouchet played or not.:HitWall:

of the 4 still active coaches that are all really close: harp, glaser, hilton and haywood. does anyone know their ages? we know how long they have been head coach but i was curious as to how old they were. that may play some into how long they will continue to coach.

I would say the record is waiting for Glaser to break.
#53
for all we know glaser could be 10 years older than harp, hilton, haywood. i do think the 4 of them know were they stand and will try to break the record.

You lost your credability when you said that you were on the team. Sorry just giving you a hard time.

lost my credibility? i was on that team.

A lot of these coaches have been in the game for a while trying to reach the top. What young head coaches now do you think will have a shot one day at reaching the top in wins 20 or 30 years down the road?
