What I could find on coach Schneider is that he has coached for 44 years and has 289 wins. Four shy of being the all time winningest coach.
Not sure how updated that information is.

Coach Schneider is the all time winnest coach. Coach Haywood and Coach Hilton are both closing in very quickly as Coach Schneder retired following last season.

14 wins this coming season and he will be the all time winning coach.

Coach Schneider has 345 wins ( Retired )
Coach Hilton has 332 wins ( Bell Co )
Coach Haywood has 327 wins ( Belfry )
These two great coaches will moving in on the lead very quickly and
it won't take long.

thanks for the links
Coach Schneider will always be considered one of the greats and i dont think him being passed up by any coach will take away from his legacy. i was just curious because i live in louisville and if/when Coach Hilton does pass him i would like to make it to the game so i would have to plan for that.
you figure it will kind of be like joe pa and bowden between hilton and heywood. neither one wanting to retire before the other.
you also have to look at harp at danville and glaser at st. x both are close to hilton and haywood and have a few less years on their tires. who ever sets the mark with those 4 may hold onto that record for a long time.

You're getting old when you remember Walter Brugh, Garnis Martin and a few others holding the record at 280 and under. Never thought someone would have 300 and now there is 5, Harp needs 1 to have 300 and McGlone has 289 and could possibly get there as well.

Coach Haywood is a class act and I hope he stays around for years to come. His teams are just a reflection of the man.

If Glaser stays where he is none of these coaches will hold the top spot for long.

I'm proud to say that I was on the last "mountain" team that defeated Dudley Hilton the upcoming all-time winning coach in Kentucky High School Football in 2006. Best of luck to Hilton and the Bobcats this year.

Good to see Rocket fans loving up on Bell. To me it is like rooting for Louisville, I cant.

Rocket01, what position did you play for the Rock?

I am curious to how many wins he had at Breathitt. In each year please.

He was only a waterboy and manager. Never played in a game vs. Bell.
05-04-2010, 10:26 AM
the 91 season when they won state they had 4 forfeit losses. they had a player who went to middlesboro his freshman year then transferred to bell. he then played for 3 years at bell, then in the 5th game of his senior year after middlesboro got beat by bell they lodged a protest to the khsaa about him and bell had to forfeit. they actually lost the third game of that season to corbin so they only had to forfeit 4 games. they finished the season 9-5 state champions. the kids name was david daniels.
btw they count as losses on coach hiltons win/loss total

Coach went 2-8 his first two years maybe at Breathitt then after that he has not had a losing record since.
