who is ur top 5 in the region after the ALL A
#1
lets hear them
#2
I would have to say the SF team. Little and Stanley can dominate the boards, gain fouls and pull down rebounds. With M. Hall shooting three's and W.Hall's all around capability and Johnson's leadership from the point...this is one dangerous combination when clicking on all cylinders!

man...I misread that so badly! Be more specific...put players or teams next time...save alot of embarassment on my part! Your evil!!!!!

Top 5 in the region hasn't changed much I don't think. I mean you have to have SV still at #1. Whenever they actually start losing more to 15th region teams then I will move them down, but until then they are still number one. But the gap between 1 and 2 has closed.
1.) Valley
2.) Belfry
3.) Johnson Central
4.) South Floyd
5.) Sheldon Clark/Prestonsburg

Looks good to me... Although I might switch JC and Belfry, Belfry is overrated IMO.

From what i have seen this season, i would have to go with this list:
1) Shelby Valley- Loaded with talent
2) Johnson Central- Have the talent to be the best, but coaching is a MAJOR factor on how successful they will be.
3) South Floyd- I liked their toughness in the All A tournament
4) Prestonsburg- Very atheletic team, if they play to the ability that they are capable of they could win the region.
5) Belfry- They have a pretty good team, but from what ive seen i cant really say that i think they are as good as what everyone else says they are, BUT i could be wrong because ive only seen them play once this season.

Don't think I'd have Paintsville in there now after they got clobbered last night by Shelby Valley. SF may be a little high too. Yeah they won the All A, but they still have a few losses this year. But they would definitely be in the top 5.

Some of you are the most biased people I've ever seen...Sure South Floyd won the all A but they're not even top 5 in the region.....You all are just kidding yourselves saying that Shelby Valley isn't #1...They numbers speak for themselves..They lose their first region game in over 2 years and people are ready to say that they're not #1...In a word..Hilarious...

For once I'm going to agree with you alfus. No way is South Floyd number one. I do think however that they are in the top 5, but not first. Valley should remain first until something dramatic happens to them which I don't see happening. Well not until regional tourney time at least.

I would have to agree alfus, some people on hear are very biased and want to believe their team is the best. SV is the best team in the 15th, at least during regular season. An will be until knocked off again. SF is a very good team and capable of beating anyone and possiblly lossing to anyone. But that is true for any team in this region this year. For the first time I would have to say that anyone can win this region in 05, from top to bottom.

On another note alfus if you are going to compare team wins and losses, then include all key wins and losses. SF also beat Hazard, Paintsville, Pburg, and Lincoln Co. I noticed a couple of these team you had listed as wins for SV but not SF, biased?
#24
South Floyd has not beat Hazard, on the otherhand I also don't believe Valley could again and they couldn't beat Rockcastle again either. However Valley is still the top team in the region but can be beaten by hard nosed defensive teams.

Right when I thought you were going to show that you knew something you say that...They didn't beat Hazard, and they didn't beat Lincoln County(which by the way is a 6-14 team) I didn't have time to concentrate on SF's key wins, because they had so many key losses I had to put all my time into those...

South Floyd did beat Hazard but it was a scrimmage game

"Basketballer" Wrote:South Floyd did beat Hazard but it was a scrimmage game

Scrimmages don't mean anything...Teams just test around to see what the best lineups are and run through the motions...

No way SF is a number 2 or number 3 or even a number 4 team in the region. If a team that has 13 losses could be a legitimate number one or two then that speaks low of the 15th. The All A was a very good win for the Raiders but hopefully they understand that one tournament doesn't make room to hop into the top three or four spot. The good thing about this year is that even though Shelby Valley has been consistently first all year there are several teams that can beat them and when tournament time comes around, things tighten up quite a bit and lots of things factor in when it is one game and out.
