New coach, new QB, new offense. A lot of changes in Perry County, how successful do you guys believe the Commodores will be this season?

R they gonna keep Prey as QB or who? And its hard to say PCC is losing 5 talented seniors.....but i think if a few players step up they should have a good season

Losing QB Jordan Amis will hurt, he was invaluable to this team. Bryan Rankin, Jay White, Darryl Beatty and Austin Pray should step up and provide great athleticism for this team. They can be very good depending on how they adjust to Coach Haddix's system.

they lose: jordan amis-qb/fs who is not replaceable, chance ashworth-starting wr/cb, corey martin-starting te/de, cody campbell-starting cb, john sams-starting dt
they return: starting o line, starting linebackers, starting rb, 2 out of 3 main wr, 1 starting member of the seconday, 2 d line starters
the one thing that will make or break this team will be the qb spot, thats if haddix will run a spread offense. will it go to pray who has some athleticism, but lack of experience and strength? or will someone new be brought it to play the spot?

I love Austin Pray to death but i dont think he will be a good QB though. He has the speed and athleticism but he cant pass the ball. You can't have a championship team without having a mix offense. Get someone who can throw and run the ball. Look around the school, i'm sure someone can do it.

i think they are goin to have a pretty fair season. justin haddix is goin to be a great choice for pcc

Any chance of Boggs returning with the new coach?

How has spring ball been so far. who are the strong kids?

PCC is in store for some High scoring offense in the near future. Im not to familiar with how good of an OC, or play caller Haddix is, but theyre gonna be tough with the Breathitt spread zone offense, combined with the Athletes at PCC.

1. This team was deep in WRs. you have Jay White who has size and athleticism. Darryl Beatty who has speed and athleticism. Bryan Rankin who has speed, athleticism and stout legs that can run through mud and wet fields.
2. I believe that our defense will be a major factor too. We're losing Jordan Amis from our secondary. Corey Martin-Our defensive end. I thought Cody played SS?

You really can't. lol.

They will be throwing the ball more. Look for it to look like the old Breathitt teams who were airing it out on every down. They have alot of skill players to get the ball too!!!
04-05-2010, 08:56 AM
Like someone else said, the QB position will make or break this team. They return most there O-line, skilled players, and most there front 7. Secondary could be an issue but this team has a lot of pieces to have a great year and potentially make a run in the playoffs.

How did spring ball turn out? I saw them throwing the ball around a few days outside. Looked pretty good.

 I agree 100%. They need to find a good QB. I'm rooting that Haddix molds Prey into a good one. Prey is a good friend of mine and im rooting for ya. There young but still could make a run in the playoffs.

All is new but with the coaching staff that Haddix will put out there with his team they will do really well, lots of athletes and many more will come as baseball winds down, not many teams in Mountains have the returning players that can play, yes i do believe Qb will be fine Haddix will mold who ever they put there and spread the ball around to his recievers, mixed with runs and the fans at PCC will enjoy watching this team,i know many will be coming south just to watch what Haddix and these C'dores will do,lots people in Bobcat land are excited about PCC's hire, and Justin is really excited too....

Lost that amis kid at qb, he was their big threat. Be down this year imo.
04-09-2010, 01:07 PM

If Perry finds someone who can manage the QB position well, it won't be. They have the other pieces in place.

Find somebody to hand off the ball.

I think Perry will be just fine. Coach Haddix will be a great coach. Perry has alot of good players. You do not have to have a Qb that can throw it 50 yards. The short pass can be just as good. Perry has the players can get yards after they catch it. Perry will score. What Perry has to work on being able to stop the other team. If Coach Haddix can get them playing Defense they will do good. Good luck dores .

Perry WILL win the district next year. MARK IT DOWN and they will beat Whitley County.

They should beat Whitley easy. Why because they lost all of there good players. Mark it down Whitley will not be the same. Good luck Dores.

I think its a little to early to say the Commodores is going to win District right now but with that being said I really like the chances of PCC completing in the district. PCC returning players like Rankin and White they'll be tough to beat, just the big question at the QB spot who will be filling Amis shoes, whoever it may be it wont be an easy job. Im excited to see what Haddix brings to Perry County football, Who has he named to the staff?
Good Luck PC!
